Police and protesters engage with one another in downtown Portland this afternoon.A group of protestors marched through downtown Portland this evening, expressing anger at Portland police in connection with a pair of police shootings over the last couple of months.
The group first gathered in the South Park Blocks, near Southwest Salmon Street and Park Avenue, and then began marching toward the Willamette River.
About 150 people took part, many of them wearing masks, calling out chants and carrying signs.
One of the most common chants was "Cops, pigs, murderers" while another was "When cops attack, stand up, fight back."
Police accompanied the group, using pressure to keep marchers on sidewalks as they walked through the city, past the Hatfield Federal Courthouse and then turned south on Third Avenue.
The protest was just the lastest of several that have happened in Portland recently in connection with two police shootings. One happened Jan. 29, when police shot and killed Aaron Campbell in Northeast Portland in a situation that started out as a welfare check.
The second took place earlier this month when an officer shot a homeless man in Hoyt Arboretum when the man advanced toward him with a knife.
Oh - and to make it even more interesting, the Rev’rund Jackson was here today, for the second time in two weeks. Had a meeting with the police chief - shakedown time again.

Yep... These people rightly belong more to the left ironically, but Obama’s behavior is egging them on as well. Wait till the Tea Party in general is associated in the media with these groups as well as the “Christian Terrorists”. Don’t dare let that stop you from speaking up though — they will come for the rest of us eventually anyway...
I guess there is no chance of these guys getting arrested like that bunch in Michigan, is there?
They will leave that connection out of the reporting as it would expose who is on what side too clearly...
The anarchists are well-schooled in provocation, so that any action the police take they will be accused of over-reacting, police brutality, etc.
If they don't make any arrests, then the citizenry will be outraged.

One thing about most "anarchists" is that they don't understand the very rules of being an "anarchist." I think if there were true anarchy, these little minds would be at home pissing themselves.
Also, some of them over the past couple of years were of the minority persuasion, which has stirred up the "community", hence the keen interest by the Rev'rund Jackson.
It may be the same group from Eugene who spawned the violent protests in Seattle a few years ago. They are well-trained professional agitators.

How come these people aren’t treated as a threat? They threaten to kill policemen - isn’t that the same charge leveled at those militia members? Look, are we going to have selective law enforcement in this country? The leftists in this society are pushing too far. Either enforce the law or get out, and let somebody who can do the job do it.
By the way, some liar in the Federal government told CAIR that those militia nuts were targeting Muslims - a charge I haven’t seen corroborated anywhere.
