You're back!

Nice to "see" you again, I've missed your valuable insight.

I had my cholesterol measured at 240 and started taking fish oil, plant sterols, and 500-1000 mg of niacin daily. All available over the counter for maybe $30/month total. Lowered my cholesterol to 170 in 3 months. Love the flush!

That's amazing. Those supplements have side benefits instead of bad side effects, too.

I get most of my essentials oils here:

http://essentialoils.org/

Here’s they’re About page:

http://essentialoils.org/about/

I also get some from Starwest Botanicals, just do a search as it’s easy to find online.

I have a wholesale account at both places which cuts down the cost a lot, but I buy a lot. Starwest requires documentation of some kind of business; EO University just requires that you say that you are a business of some kind without needing documentation. I don’t think EO Univ. sells retail.

Both have good quality, EO Univ. has more variety, more sizes (almost everything they sell in 1 oz, 4 oz, 8 oz and 16 oz) whereas Starwest has a more limited selection in mostly 2/3 oz, 4 oz and 8 oz, some 16 oz. But for you, if you just want Oregano oil for your own use, Starwest would be easier and fine.

About dose I can only say that Oregano oil and most EOs are very, very strong, and it’s better to underuse than overuse. I would not use more than 1 drop a couple of times a day, mixed in honey, and then drink a cup of warm water after. EOs are mostly fat soluble, and can mess up the kidneys if you take too much. Even one teaspoon of many EOs taken straight is fatal.

No one should mess around around with taking EOs by mouth; it has to be done very carefully. The safest ones to take (IMO) are Peppermint oil and all Citrus oils - 1 drop in a cupt of water, honey optional. Lemon, Orange and Grapefruit oils are all anti-bacterial and anti-viral and taste very good that way; I often use them or recommend them if a person starts feeling sick. Peppermint taken that way is good also for headaches, nausea and fever.

Hope this helps.

AFAIK, Oregano oil sold for ingestion is always mixed with vegetable oil. A whole capsule of straight Oregano oil would be a huge overdose.

Have you done any research on Mag Oro (Magnesium Orotate)? NCI, Dr. Hans Nieper.

My D. O., an alternative medicine physician, has put me on that, in addition to a few other supps.
