Fox News ^ | 3/30/2010 | Jana Winter

The husband of a military servicewoman living on a Tennessee Naval base is under investigation for posting threatening comments on a radical right-wing Web site, FoxNews.com has learned.

Investigators with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service have seized the man's shotgun and taken it to the armory at the Naval Support Activity Mid-South base in Millington, Tenn. The firearm will be will be stored there while the agency's probe continues.

The man, writing under the name "ACA," posted a comment last week in response to a story on the expanding role of the IRS under the new health care law. The story was posted on infowars.com, which is operated by conservative talk-show host Alex Jones.

In response to comments made by a poster who questioned others' commitment to violence against government workers, "ACA" wrote:

"THEN I WILL ( I here by threatn you with violence) if you come to my door [address removed] see if im joking! and as for you BEN what dose it look like? you living in it right now! IVAN go buy a gun and get some practice in... ..."

>>> "Alex Jones may be a Hal Turner type." <<<

VERY interesting, he frequently does act like an agent provacateur, or at least that is my OPINION sometimes about him.

"...a Tennessee Naval base..." OK, I know that the fans that come up the river to Neyland Stadium to watch UT football games are called the Vol Navy, but I didn't know they had their own base. ☺☺

Looks like Fox is trolling sites for manufactured stories.

HUmmmm, is that why Fox is always asking viewers to comment on stories.

Think that might be a bad idea.

Infowars is not rightwing, it’s a conspiracy nutcase website.

I wonder this myself, if this website is considered radical? Who determines a website is radical? I seen comments on this website that are similar, are they being probed. Does that make me vulnerable to being probed as well, because I visit this site almost daily among other websites?

These IRS enforcement officers and other government moves really frighten me, and have me and other Americans scared. So, does people like us voicing our concerns about these things make us ripe to be probed?

“Does Fox run infowars?”

I am glad that you caught that..

I am wondering what Fox is up to...when did they take it upon themselves to monitor various websites looking for dummies like this guy? Maybe, they were tipped off...but still...

Makes you go...hmmmmmm

Infowars is not rightwing, it’s a conspiracy nutcase website.

I used to think that also. Alex Jones mainly preaches that we are in the midst of a global communist government takeover. Doesn't look to be much of a conspiracy or that crazy anymore.

It'd be far more crazy to try and defend the idea that we have a law abiding, functioning constitutional republic and that we don't have a serious communist problem in our government, media and academia.

On many military installations, base housing has been outsourced to private developers.

The developers either renovate existing housing or build from scratch (on base) and lease to the military.

Isn’t Alex Jones the guy who says the government was behind 9/11?

He needs a proofreader. I’ve never seen so many typos. He’d never make the cut here on FR.

When he says to “ go buy a gun” he probably meant to say “go buy some gin.”

Alex Jones is a 9/11 troofer.

He’s like a mad dog in my book. Gets it right part of the time, very wrong part of the time, and people with foam flying from the mouth repulse me. So I go out of my way never to see/listen to/read his words. I read/heard enough. He also seems to be on a major “look at ME” trip.
