One of the most ironic aspects of our putative "Age of Obama" is how little impact it has had on the nation's urban geography. Although the administration remains dominated by boosters from traditional blue state cities--particularly the president's political base of Chicago--the nation's metropolitan growth continues to shift mostly toward a handful of Sunbelt red state metropolitan areas.

But if the people moving from the Blue States do not understand or forget the policies they supported was the reason they left then places like Texas might be in trouble in the long run.

As long as they don't try to make us into what they left, I'm okay with it. The ones I have talked with who have come here from California, and there are a lot from Massachusetts, too, complain that we don't do things like they do in their home states.

This article is complete nonsense. Don’t move to Texas. There are no jobs. The weather is either freezing or broiling. No one there but cowboys, a few sheepherders and rattlesnakes. Don’t move to Texas. The taxes are some of the highest in the world. Roads and highways are long continuous potholes. I would advise you to not move to Texas. People are leaving the state in droves… You have to ride a bull before buying a home. Please, do not move to Texas… Stay away. Keep your liberal ideas and government out of there. It is a right wing conservative haven. There is nothing here, er, ah,…there for you.
