It's high time Americans elect those who support the US Constitution on every level of government. It is an oath that must be kept.

I can’t link to the story (hate going to wnd anyway) but sheesh. They want us to buy permits to associate in our own homes to read the Bible? That violates the first amendment in a whole lot of ways.

How is this not a straight assault on church/state religious issues?

What ‘right’ does government have? Are we back in the “divine right of kings” era? That ended with Israel’s last earthly king. Government derives its authority from the consent of the governed. These people are all kinds of wrong, and they need to be shown. Politely, or by show of force.

Do people who have parties in their homes have to get permits? What business is it of the government’s how many visitors a home-owner has, and how often?

Not good enough on the city’s part. The threat to close them down needs to be removed completely!

If a so called church has the first amendment right to harass a military funeral then these people have the first amendment right to study the Bible.

We had a preacher in the neighborhood who held Christian bible studies on Wednesday nights. I'd come home from work, and the street would be lined with cars.

The preacher came over to the neighbors and asked us if he was causing a problem with his visitors and I said we didn't mind. They could park in my driveway for all I care, just as long as they leave one space for me.

Californians are a bit different. They narc off their unknown neighbors to their superiors -- I mean, the 'authorities' -- if they perceive a problem ...
