He may be too busy to go to church as often as he would like.
But President Obama can always find time to check his Blackberry.
So when he needs a little inspiration in the mornings, Mr Obama revealed today that all he has to do is read the daily prayer emailed to him from pastors around America. Its a wonderful thing, the president said of his hi-tech devotionals.
Mr Obama is the first president to carry a Blackberry and the first to use email, although only a handful of aides, family and close friends have his address for the handheld device.
He said that White House faith director Joshua DuBois forwards him a morning prayer every day from a selection sent in by some of the churchmen he met during his cross-country travels on the presidential campaign.
He added that he started getting the prayer alerts on the campaign trail and has carried on receiving them ever since.
When Mr Obama first got into office, aides initially tried to take his Blackberry away, arguing his emails would one day be made public.
But the tech-savvy president resisted and instead got a specially designed one-of-a-kind custom Blackberry with top security features to allow him to speak on a protected line.

I'm sure he has it set to alert him 5x/day.
Let me guess, he gets them sent 5 times a day - activated as he is facing East.
:)
But does he always have a mirror handy for worship?
Obama should write fantasy novels!
Actually I’ll bet there’s an Ap for that...using the GPS in the phone, you know.
You owe me a keyboard. I'll never get the Coke out of this one.

Obama is deeply religious?
What a colossal propaganda crock.
Muslims don’t like churches.
mosques only for obama.
I wonder if the whiny wailing calls of the muslims to prayer sound whinier on his blackberry than they do in real life.
What you think he prays an Orthodox Christian monastic cycle of prayer—1st, 3rd, 6th and 9th Hours and Compline, all while facing east?
[:-)==== (Orthodox monastic smiley.)
Christians (traditionally) face east when praying—though we don’t get hung up on it, and call the front of the church “East”, and face it, even when the church is not oriented correctly (note the original use of the word “orient”—to align a church so the altar is at the east end.)
Unless they happen to be due west of Mecca, Muslims do not face east when praying. (And Washington D.C. is not due east of Mecca, so the only traditionally defined rule under which Obama would be praying five times a day facing east would be the Orthodox monastic prayer schedule.)
I wonder if it come complete with magic carpet
Yes, but Obama is stupid.
What this article does not tell you is that the quotes he gets are from a variety of “faith traditions”, not just Christianity.
Obama said back in July - “My Faith and Neighborhood Initiatives director, Joshua DuBois, he has a devotional that he sends to me on my BlackBerry every day,” Obama said. “That’s how I start my morning. You know, he’s got a passage, Scripture, in some cases quotes from other faiths to reflect on.”
This guy is so full of s-— that the space shuttle rockets couldn’t get him off the ground.
“The great 0 worships at the bottomless well of his own self-regard”
POST OF THE DAY!! LOL!!
The guy is lazy spiritually, too.

I wonder if he has one these around the Oval Office so he knows which way to face.
No doubt the first prayer each morning is to offer all the babies aborted in the coming day to Satan.
Did the Balckberry come with a rug?
Still pushing that “Obama is a prayerful Christian” load of complete horse crap. Yea right, when pigs fly.
Anyway, I thought religious Christians are the root of all EVIL!
What gives Obama?
