White women are the new angry white men
The Examiner ^ | March 28, 2010 | Jan Tyler

Posted on 04/01/2010 9:11:35 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

55% of Tea Party members are women versus 45% men, according to a Quinnipiac poll released last week. 77% of all of them voted for John McCain, and 88% of them are white.

Barack Obama won the Presidency with the help of black women, as a Pew Center analysis explains. These black women experienced the highest turnout number in history - 66% - matching overall white voter turnout which actually decreased. 95% of black women voted for Barack Obama.

The Sarah Palin phenomenon may have motivated the white Tea Party women, who could significantly impact future elections, since their support of any potential Republican candidate has more room to grow than black women's support of an Obama re-election campaign.

Democrats love to hate Sarah Palin, and with the support of the (LOL!) lame stream media, have contributed to Palin's marginalization. Without the ability to self reflect, there is a blind spot. It is dangerous to proclaim yourself a feminist while being dismissive of any woman. When the coverage is over the top, as it has been with Palin (her child, her intelligence...), there might be a tipping point where the negativity begins to work in Palin's favor.

Almost everyone has labeled the Tea Party movement as angry. What about the media and Democrat's reaction? The debate is sullied so the truth may be more difficult to discern. It may be hard to accept that the majority of Tea Party members are motivated by factors other than anger, or another favorite denigrator, fear.

What if these white tea party women are motivated by a sense of being wronged, betrayed by their government, for whom they did not vote? Disenfrachisement is a favorite rallying cry for Democrats. Could white women feel disenfrachised by the dramatic changes they see taking place?

Are white women feeling oppressed, as white men began to feel as their place in American society was challenged? If white women mobilize behind one candidate and turnout out the vote, the almost 20% differential from 77% (John McCain) to 95% (Barrack Obama) could win an election for Republicans.

Despite the historic performance of Nancy Pelosi in commandeering health care victory for the Democrats, individual Democrats and Obama cabinet members remain curiously chauvinistic.

Democrats have short memories. Remember Larry Summers and his Harvard debacle? Not a good thing to declare women inferior as President of Harvard. Remember Florida Congressman Alan Grayson, not so long ago reported on by Fox News?

"Here I am, the only member of Congress who actually worked as an economist. And she's, this lobbyist, this K Street whore, is trying to teach me about economics."

Don't get me started on Joe Biden, who with Arlen Specter (then a Republican), recalled the Salem witch trials in questioning Anita Hill. Some smart Republican should dig up those old Anita Hill hearing tapes. Even President Obama's dismissive treatment of then rival Hillary Clinton is revealing, and could be used to inspire those white Tea Party women.

Republicans should challenge the overwhelming support women voters have given the Democrats. Do these men even like women? Well, we know about the F-word with Biden and everything, but what do they really think? The Boston Globe reported on Summers' Harvard comments at the time.

This was the point that most angered some of the listeners, several of whom said Summers said that women do not have the same ''innate ability" or ''natural ability" as men in some fields.

The Tea Party women seem confident of their innate, or natural ability. Without being schooled by the Republican opposition, all women could take the popular advice of the best selling author, He's Just Not Into You. Move on not to MoveOn, but to a place where your sheer numbers mean you will get the respect you deserve.

I know someone who is one of those “government is my replacement daddy/husband”,

and she seems “nervous” as of late.

Like she knows that the fulfillment of the policies she advocates are indeed as dangerous as people have warned.

What I got from this article was

look through the prism of “race”.

I’ve been shocked and amazed at women’s reaction to this abuse of power and marxism.

It boils down to a simple law of Nature.....

DON'T mess with our kids!

Most women know exactly how the Great Reneger's policies will affect our children's futures.

Except that he didn't.

Oops. make that 23%

No. That means 23% either voted for Obama, third party, or declined to vote.

I say ‘So What!’ if they ARE motivated by anger and/or fear.

That’s far better than greed, envy and jealousy, the underpinnings of class warfare that drives the progressive/liberal/socialism losers.

older angry about Obama white Christian gals who love their grandkids

sort of like FR

there is no doubt that is Free Republic’s largest demographic...not sure what percentage...maybe 40-50% or more..

then older pissed white Christian men...like me...I wasn’t old 10 years ago when I started here btw

then GenX folks

then a lot of sub groups from a few minorities to a few smart Jews and some kids here and there.

that about covers FR

FR is more varied (I refuse to use the D word mantra) than the Tea Party.

If 77$ voted for McCain-Palin then we are not looking at new voters, just and angry base.
____________________________________________________________

I was thinking the exact opposite. That means that 23% of the female tea party ACTIVISTS are Obama voters or non-voters. 16% say they are Tea Party * 50% of voters that are women * 23% is . . . 1.8%.

That is a HUGE swing in base political numbers, because these are just the informed and active that are Tea Party. The go-along types will come along for the ride as well as they talk to thier neighbors and family at election time.

I have 4 kids, too. Three of them will be able to vote for the first time in the 2012 elections. I was pretty excited when I realized that.

You’re correct. My husband did not have the time or interest in looking at the health benefits... every year he always plunks that enrollment package on my desk. Quite aware of what hoops we have to jump through and what has to be paid to take care of our health needs. I would think that women with school age children should be the biggest pool of voters for the right conservative candidate.

Yup.

I don't open the the enrollment envelope. It goes right to my wife.

I’ve been shocked and amazed at women’s reaction to this abuse of power and marxism. I thought they would just go along with “sugar-daddy” state—boy was I wrong. Thank you, American women!

The vast majority of non-hispanic white women are net tax-payers.

They are starting to realize the extent to which THEY, through their taxes, are becoming the "sugar mommies" of the expanding underclass and government employees, and they don't like the idea.

Any of the women I talk to who supports Barry haven’t a clue about what’s going on and aren’t interested. Those who don’t support him are very aware of what’s going on and are terrified for our country.

Looking through a liberals eyes, These typical white womens inherent fear of a black man only proves the Tea Partys racism.

I find that comment ironic and I would say something but this is a family site so I won't say it. :-P

That attitude by the left is such BS. A fellow I work with is not only a great dad and husband, has great work ethic and so easy to work with, he is also my brother in Christ.

They are so hell-bent on calling us racists, when in reality, it’s the left who are not color-blind.

Fine. Figure 90% of that 23% voted for obama. So lets call it 22%. Happy now?
