Same as yesterday.

We need more red ink.

Thanks for posting.

May I suggest... Put the index in the title for those of us who'd just like to see it in the title, or are too lazy to click the link.

Thanks. :)

The Index still seems to be trying to settle in at about -10 or -11, based on my guesstimates for Rasmussen’s nightly raw data over the past two weeks.

And although we desparately hope for a quick resumption of the downward trend, maybe we’ll just have to live with ca. -10 for a month or two.

Forecast for tomorrow:

65% probability that the Index is at -10 or lower.

35% probability that it rises to -9 or higher.

Anyway, what’s so bad about an Index value of -10? If today’s Rasmussen numbers shoud stay exactly as they are until November 2012, it would seem that a generic opponent could beat the Big Ø by 54% to 46%. And that ain’t hay!

(The latter calculation assumes a 90% turnout of Rasmussen’s “strongly approve” and “strongly disapprove” voters, with a 60% turnout of the “somewhat” voters on both sides.)

Drop in strongly opposed could be due to some voters getting fooled by the offshore drilling announcement... the way the news read it, it sounded like he was for opening up the whole offshore...

we need to be realistic and realize that the liberal media will spin scraps of good news, like a slight employment gain, as great news.

stopping obama in November is about pounding on the bigger picture - that although we may gain some jobs now, we lost almost 10 MILLION jobs since Pelosi became speaker, and we are not getting them back with the policies they enact.

(going down again)

That may turn out to be a vaid prediction, but at the moment it does not seem to be going down.
