AP: Obama said in a nationally broadcast interview Friday he isn't worried that his bold reach for a $1.3 trillion, 10-year makeover might cause his public approval ratings to plummet. He told CBS's "The Early Show" that forcing changes in the system was "the right thing to do."

Obama is about the most smarmy self-centered president I have seen in my lifetime. The funny thing about him and his so-called health care legislation is that he still has no idea what the law says. Except for the sections where he and his cronies get major bank off the deal.
And now this country will go bankrupt with it.

Maybe what he meant was, after all the Democrat pork-fests, we’ll go bankrupt with or without the healthcare legislation.
No, the socialists have already driven the country past the brink of bankruptcy. So once bankruptcy is declared, the obvious thing to do is eliminate all the socialist programs that caused it.
This means no more Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid or Obamacare. It also means that the US can no longer afford to police the world, by having our military in 100 countries. We will have to be satisfied with just 4 or 5 of the most critical places.
And by not doing this, all those countries will have to pay to defend themselves, money they can no longer spend on their own socialism.
So it is a win-win, except for the elites that want to control everyone, and the social parasites who don’t want to work to earn their keep.
Well, seeing that video, I’m just so happy, there is someone who promises to pay all of my bills for everything that is ill, and we can all just relax, knowing the government will take care of us, we don’t need to plan, save, take risks...the Government is our Father, our provider, our defender,...no need to worry about preparing for hard times, the government has it all fixed...whew. Now, I can get back on the couch, watch SOAPS all day, screw around and just vote Democrat.

I love how Obama makes all these un confirmable statements, like unemployment would be worse, and the deficit would be higher, and now this..
Why stop there? Why not claim Obama prevented the seas from rising, (wait, maybe he already has claimed that one) diverted an asteroid that would have ended life, or he prevented a massive shark attack in Wichita. Go for it Big “O”. Obviously there are morons out there, including most of the press, that believe it.
Interesting, given that Mr. Obama announced months ago that we are already bankrupt. He just goes with what he thinks he needs to say in the moment, regardless of the truth.

How any person with an IQ above 12 can understand his logic is beyond me? Lets see, do I have this right? Your going bankrupt, you spend many times more than what you were spending adding to your debt, and this somehow “prevents” you from going bankrupt? WTH, they are buying time and POWER on our dime... Lord help us!

OBAMA: Well, we are out of money now. We are operating in deep deficits, not caused by any decisions we've made on health care so far. This is a consequence of the crisis that we've seen and in fact our failure to make some good decisions on health care over the last several decades. ...
He says the medical system as it was would “bankrupt the country.” No one asks the simple question “How?” If the “country” (obamaspeak for the government) wasn’t running the medical system, how could the medical system bankrupt the “country?”
