Limbaugh responds to Obama: 'Never in my life have I seen a regime like this'
The Washington Examiner ^ | April 2, 2010 | By Byron York

Posted on 04/02/2010 7:22:47 AM PDT by MaestroLC

In his new interview with CBS, President Obama refers to the "troublesome" talk and "vitriol" of Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck. "Keep in mind that there have been periods in American history where this kind of vitriol comes out," Obama says. "It happens often when you've got an economy that is making people more anxious, and people are feeling like there is a lot of change that needs to take place. But that's not the vast majority of Americans. I think the vast majority of Americans know that we're trying hard, that I want what's best for the country."

I asked Limbaugh what he thought about the president's comments. His program's popularity is undeniably soaring now, but has it risen and fallen with economic anxiety -- that is, was he less popular during times of economic security and more popular in times of economic worries? Since Limbaugh has been broadcasting nationally for more than 20 years, there ought to be some sort of pattern, if what Obama says is accurate.

"I have yet to have a down year at the EIB Network," Limbaugh responds. "I and most Americans do not believe President Obama is trying to do what's best for the country. Never in my life have I seen a regime like this, governing against the will of the people, purposely. I have never seen the media so supportive of a regime amassing so much power. And I have never known as many people who literally fear for the future of the country."

The point, Limbaugh says, is not that listeners are feeling anxiety about the economy, although many undoubtedly are. It's that they are feeling anxiety about the Obama agenda.

We watched “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington”, starring Jimmy Stewart, last night. When the press conflated his first appearance in Congress and published ridiulous pictures of him and storylines, he went out and did what I’d have done...sought out each of them and punched them in the nose.

The Obamamedia has done such a disservice to the American people, it borders on treason in this writer’s opinion. At least their numbers are tanking...but they still dominate the airwaves. We have conservative talk radio and we need to keep it. Thank you Rush.

If you haven’t seen that movie, it’s recommended viewing for all. Some things never change. Until they do.

NOTE WELL: Obama Is Making Plans to Use Executive Power for Action on Several Fronts

Obama Signs Executive Order Establishing Council of Governors
The White House | Office of Press Secretary | 1/11/10
FR Posted by Melissa 24

The President today signed an Executive Order (attached) establishing a Council of Governors to strengthen further the partnership between the Federal Government and State Governments to protect our Nation against all types of hazards.

When appointed, the Council will be reviewing such matters as involving the National Guard of the various States; homeland defense; civil support; synchronization and integration of State and Federal military activities in the United States; and other matters of mutual interest pertaining to National Guard, homeland defense, and civil support activities.

Once chosen, the Council will have no more than five members from the same party and represent the Nation as a whole.

Federal members of the Council include:

the Secretary of Defense,

the Secretary of Homeland Security,

the Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism,

the Assistant to the President for Intergovernmental Affairs and Public Engagement,

In 1944 my grandfather landed on the beach head at Anzio, He volunteered even though as a Mennonite his religion prohibited armed military service.
He left as an outcast from his family and church, he returned as a hero with the three German bullets on a key chain that were removed from various parts of his body.
He said that he did it so that his children and grand children wouldn’t have to.

So now we have the kenyan’s ass parked in the white house and I’m supposed to go along quietly?

The Constitution is the limiting document upon the feds; the federal government cannot become greater than the granting power. That is, the federal servant cannot become greater than its master........the states.

.......according to judicial analyst, and judge, Andrew P. Napolitano healthcare reforms amount to "commandeering" the state legislatures for federal purposes, which the Supreme Court has forbidden as unconstitutional. "The Constitution does not authorize the Congress to regulate state governments. Nevertheless, the Congress has told the state governments that they must modify their regulation of certain areas of healthcare, they must surrender their regulation of other areas of healthcare, and they must spend state taxpayer-generated dollars in a way that the Congress wants it done.(Excerpt) Read more at newsmax.com............

The policy issues may be coming to an end, but the legal issues are certain to continue because key provisions of this dangerous legislation are unconstitutional. States Can Check Washington's Power; by directly proposing constitutional amendments
WSJ 12/21/09 | DAVID B. RIVKIN JR. AND LEE A. CASEY
FR Posted 12/2/09 by rhema

For nearly a hundred years, federal power has expanded at the expense of the states—to a point where the even the wages and hours of state employees are subject to federal control. Basic health and safety regulations that were long exercised by states under their "police power" are now dominated by Washington.

The courts have similarly distorted the Constitution by inventing new constitutional rights and failing to limit governmental power as provided for in the document. The aggrandizement of judicial power has been a particularly vexing challenge, since it is inherently incapable of correction through the normal political channels.

There is a way to deter further constitutional mischief from Congress and the federal courts, and restore some semblance of the proper federal-state balance. That is to give to states—and through them the people—a greater role in the constitutional amendment process.

The idea is simple, and is already being mooted in conservative legal circles. Today, only Congress can propose constitutional amendments—and Congress of course has little interest in proposing limits on its own power. Since the mid-19th century, no amendment has actually limited federal authority.

But what if a number of states, acting together, also could propose amendments? That has the potential to reinvigorate the states as a check on federal power. It could also return states to a more central policy-making role.

The Framers would have approved the idea of giving states a more direct role in the amendment process. They fully expected that the possibility of amendments originating with the states would deter federal aggrandizement, and provided in Article V that Congress must call a convention to consider amendments anytime two-thirds of the states demand it.(Excerpt) Read more at online.wsj.com ...

People are anxious about a rogue legislature working in conjunction with a marxist thug while being given a blind eye by the media. Great guns full speed ahead on the government take-over of the private sector, jobs be damned.

People don't need Rush to get them pissed off. They just need eyes, ears and a bit of common sense. These idiots will soon have a large group of unemployed and very angry people who feel that their voices are not being heard through peaceful protests. They will not simply go away.

Rush is right. Yeah, the economy is really shaky, but my greatest concern is for what Obama is going to do to our country. After so many years of listening to Wright preach “God D*mn America” and worse, why would anyone think he would do anything that would help our country?

I think we are going to have to cart out the good reverend again in 2012. We can show some choice excerpts, and use as a tagline a variation on your post: "Well, what did you expect of a man who listened to this for 5 years?".

It would be a variation on Reagan's "are you better off now than you were 4 years ago?" line.

What kind of mumbo-jumbo is that? It is a lot more than the economy making people anxious, especially the political malpractice coming out of the Whitehouse. We know they are trying hard to destroy what this country was built on. Obama is doing what he thinks is best for this country by driving it into third world status and taking away our basic rights and telling us it the right thing to do. That makes me more than a little more than anxious.

Those that disagree with "The Administration" are considered to be full of hate and vitriol. And what is scary about that is what he didn't say about those in disagreement. The future doesn't look very bright to us and the prospect of living in darkness of a new and repressive government is not very reassuring.

No Rush is wrong on this. Obama is presenting a red herring to distract from the real issue which is his low scoring in the Presidential approval rating. People, the majority, have come to realize they don’t like him and/or his presidency. Kerry, Kennedy et al would have shot back that this is merely a (pretender)President who is attempting the tactics of distraction from the main issue of his unpopularity. The left’s top 5 tactics is distraction off the real issues.

Of Course Rush may have said this and they just edit away his main point.

OBITUARY
Born 1776, Died 2008
It does not hurt to read this several times.

If Congress grants amnesty and
Citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called
Illegals and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

Professor
Joseph Olson of Hamline
University School of Law , St. Paul , Minnesota
, points out some interesting facts concerning last November’s Presidential election:

Number of States won by: Obama:
19 McCain: 29

•Square miles of land won by: Obama:
580,000 McCain: 2,427,000

Population of
Counties won by: Obama: 127 million McCain: 143 million

Murder rate per
100,000 residents in counties won by:
Obama: 13.2 McCain: 2.1

Professor
Olson adds: “In aggregate, the map of the territory
McCain won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying
Citizens of the country.

Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living
In low
Income tenements and living off various forms of government
Welfare...”
Olson believes the United States is now
Somewhere between the “complacency and apathy” phase of
Professor Tyler’s definition of democracy, with some forty percent of
The nation’s population already having reached the “governmental
Dependency” phase.
