Canada Free Press ^ | 04/02/2010 | Fred Dardick

Posted on 04/02/2010 11:45:55 AM PDT by FredDardick

So much for the spectacle of Democrats and Republicans fighting their way through Congress over the future of Cap and Trade energy legislation. Thanks to EPA Administrator Lisa P. Jackson in little noticed press releases from March 29 and April 1, the “final decision” that “greenhouse gases (GHGs)” and “carbon pollution” will be regulated (taxed) by the federal government is complete and the imposition of “construction and operating permit requirements for the largest emitting facilities will begin.”

Interesting how we have gone from a people that were governed by the states, to being governed by the Feds, to being governed by the EPA. This has to change back to the states who are governed by the people.

There is a war on the horizon, and it is not unlike that of the American Revolution. Reading and teaching on that right now.

Call your Congressman on this. There is a resolution in the House with bipartisan support that will block this ruling. Let your rep know how you feel.

I would like to know where our politicians are and why they aren’t cranking down on the EPA. EPA doesn’t run this country. They have taken all the power out of the Congress and politicians. Because of the EPA, Congress is useless.

It is TIME! It is TIME to Drain the Swamp! It is TIME to DownSize DC! Eliminate entire worthless unconstitutional departments. Start with Dept. Education and the EPA.

This talks about states suing the EPA. It’s amazing we are being forced into this by a government body that is not selected by the people so it feels it does not have to answer to the people.

If they can’t get it reversed, they should at least find a way to make it effective before the next election so the people get to know what they’re voting for.

That's right. Scotus long ago ruled that Congressionally created agencies can be given power to create, execute and enforce regulations that have the force of law in direct contradiction of Article 1 Section 1 of the Constitution.

Our Framers called this form of governance a tyranny.

It is a two-fer for our Congress-clowns. They get to pass off tough decisions to unelected bureaucrats and avoid all responsibility for the abuses heaped on us by the true believers at the EPA, and get credit if successful for stopping the abuse.

In 1994 Bill Clinton prepared legislation that would have eased lending standards at Fannie and Freddie, created a whole new sub-class of homeowners, and knowingly or unknowingly fueled the emerging derivatives market in all its forms. When Republicans won both houses of Congress in November Clinton and HUD Secretary Andrew Cuomo instead rewrote the legislation via executive fiat. This created a momentum, aided at times by Republicans, that deregulated the financial services industry by 1999.

They get to pass off tough decisions to unelected bureaucrats and avoid all responsibility for the abuses heaped on us by the true believers at the EPA, get credit if successful for stopping the abuse, and best of all for them, they get to reap the trillions of dollars in new taxes in order to shower their voting base with free goodies.

There-fixed it.

It's worse than you think.

CO2 regulation is a big issue but there is no doubt that it will be tied up in court for years and years. In the meantime - while everyone is watching the CO2 action EPA has been very, very, very busy pouring out regs, one after another, that hammer businesses.

CO2 has been a very effective head fake for them.
