TOPEKA | Kansas' Democratic attorney general says he won't join legal challenges by other states to the new federal health care law.

Attorney General Steve Six said Friday that his office's review of the law found no constitutional defects

I'm very dissapointed in this decision. Last week, I had called on AG Six to join the lawsuit, which you can see via this link. Our neighbors of Colorado, Nebraska, and Missouri have all joined -- it is too bad Six has elected to sit on the sidelines.

We need people at all levels of government who understand the Constitution and will seek to uphold it every step of the way. That's one reason why I'm running for Congress here in Kansas.

The Soros initiative to place operatives in as many state constitutional offices as possible, seems to be paying off.

Stall, delay, nullify, obfuscate, or simply ignore the will of the people.

Yeah, that’s a winning strategy, all right.

Until the mob shows up with pitchforks and torches.

Remember in November.

You should only use that sort of term if you’re going to use it correctly and can justify the usage. All the democrats are doing is a little bit of socialism, nationalizing a few industries like automobiles, banking, and health care, and . . . never mind, you got it right, didn’t you?

Appointed by Kathleen Sebelius when RINO turned dimocRAT Paul Morrison was forced to resign due to attempts to influence legal case against late term abortionist, Geo. Tiller and case against Planned Parenthood, and obstruct justice, not to mention dallying with former employee of Jo.Co.Da's Ofc. and use her to spy on former AG and recently elected Jo.Co.DA, Phill Kline.

Six was a weak lawyer and as Sebelius, Morrison, and many other KS elected officials, bought and paid for by Tiller and Planned Parenthood!

Sounds like our situation in GA. Our governor said he is going to go around the AG and sue privately (he had several lawyer associations offer free services to do so)

In addition, there is talk of the GA legislature impeaching the AG! I sure hope so, he was really smug and arrogant about his decision.

If there are enough folks contacting the KS gov maybe he will do the same (?)

Kansas' Democratic attorney general says he won't join legal challenges by other states to the new federal health care law.

In other breaking news, a dog bit a man today ...

I never wondered if the Iowa Attorney General (also a Dem) would join. I'm sure he'd sooner admit to receiving kickbacks from his attorney friends who raked in the dough for settling with Big Tobacco (and, he wouldn't do that in a million years).

Well, if any official was going to work on shutting down a church/religious group, no matter who they are -- the first group I would have them working on would be Islam.

We can leave Westboro Baptist Church until after the time all the mosques are removed from this country...

Here is a link to my stance on tax reform. I would vote for the FairTax provided the 16th Amendment could be repealed. In the meantime, I support fundamental tax reform, and have signed the Americans for Tax Reform Taxpayer Protection pledge as well. In order for our economy to grow, this burden must be lifted and that comes through real reform, real tax reductions, and resisting tax increases. Thanks!

It's no big deal in terms of getting a case before the Supreme Court. All it takes is one state to do it and there's already a whole lot more than one... :-)

Is the AG the Tin Foil Man from the Land of Kansas Oz?

In the state of WA - another Land of Oz, the AG has joined other states in the action. But the lefty Gov who stole the election was ticked on hearing he did.

At a news conference she blathered on how if she had the chance she could have presented to the citizens all the benefits!

This is good. America already has enough people on this matter. Why let state level Democrats give themselves cover on this issue? Every time one of these skunks pulls “I don't see anything unconstitutional” stuff he opens his state party to demands of where each of them stand on a losing issue not handled at their level. This is all good for us.

The Atty General of the state of Geotgia declined to file a suit for the same reasons. I am not a constitutional scholar, but many who are say the law seems to pass constitutional muster under both commerce and taxation precedents. We shall see what we shall see.

“I would vote for the FairTax provided the 16th Amendment could be repealed.”

Were you aware that the FairTax rate applies to all spending and uses a portion to fund SS/Medicare ? This effectively eliminates the current cap on earnings which are taxed for SS/M, such that high earners/spenders pay much more than they currently do into those programs — yet they do not get any additional benefit from SS/M in return for their raised taxes. It also means retirees spending their savings are still paying into SS/M even after they retire. That is hardly “Fair”.

The FairTax would be a much better idea if it left SS/M out of things, left out the “progressiveness” caused by the costly rebate, and thereby could replace just the Federal Income Tax ($1.2T) using a much lower 10% rate.
