WASHINGTON -- President Obama and his family are attending Easter service at a historically black Methodist church in southeast Washington. The Obamas traveled Sunday morning to the Allen Chapel AME Church. The first family has attended a variety of Protestant churches in the nation's capital since Obama's election. The Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church traces its roots to just before the Civil War when it ministered to free blacks in the Anacostia area of Washington. It is part of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Southeast Washington was rocked last week by a drive-by shooting that left four dead and five others wounded. Three people have been charged in the shooting, the city's deadliest in years.

So what? Am I supposed to be impressed?
It’s just a photo op/ PR thing. Barry still has time to go home and pray to Mecca behind closed doors.
Another C&E attendee.
Guess who I saw at church this morning?? Chet.
“The first family has attended a variety of Protestant churches in the nation’s capital since Obama’s election”
I find this an enteresting statement considering that just a few weeks ago the news items were about Obama not attending any church services whatsoever since taking office. A WH offical in fact said that Obama uses the chapel at Camp David.
In other words this is a bold faced lie.
Methodist?

The Objective
In order to meet the needs of every level of the Connection and in every local church, the AME Church shall implement strategies to train all members in: (1) Christian discipleship, (2) Christian leadership, (3) current teaching methods and materials, (4) the history and significance of the AME Church, (5) Gods biblical principles, and (6) social development to which all should be applied to daily living.
African Methodist Episcopal.
At least five times.
Exactly! Remember they don’t celebrate Christmas.
C&E’s should just stay home and mail it in. Was at mass this morning 1/2 hour before mass and the church was already filling up. We finally ended up having about 200 people standing in the back of the church. Was looking at the offering and marking this weeks tally. We have 2800 families plus and we get 760 envelopes back. Betcha the collection totals for this week will be close to 50k. Averages 20K.
It was this way at 4 masses.
Bammy tries really hard doesn’t he. No sale.
Whew..got that one in. Now, just to have to wait until christmas....whew! Boy, this christian thing is tough.
...kind of reminds me of our first black president.
Interesting that G-d’s Biblical Principle’s are number 5 on the list. I guess that they don’t give a damn what G-d has to say.
Not to be too picky but isn’t the phrase a bald face lie?
