"So I bought a flashlight with a wrist strap attached, I gave it fresh batteries, and I hung it from my bedpost along with my glasses. Then I wondered, what would happen if the batteries went dead? No light, no more! So I bought a package of extra batteries and put them in the drawer in my nightstand." Better to buy a plug-in rechargeable night-light/emergency light. These plug into a wall socket, and if power is lost, they "light up" immediately. Pull-em out of the wall, and you have instant flashlight. Always charged up. Use high-intensity LED's as sources, so burned out bulbs are virtually unknown.

Recommend that she toss a small pry bar in her kit. If she’s got room a set of those knee pads from the hardware store are handy, too.

"Do you have a banjo? Is it tuned? /s LOL "
No, I don't, but I've been meaning to get me one. I play finger-style gee-tar and that is similar to playing a banjo. However, there's only two tunes I want to learn, "Foggy Mountain Breakdown" and the "Jed Clampett Theme" from the Beverly Hillbillies.
Thanks for askin', but right now I've got to go and slop the hawgs and git in some farwood.

Close, Tucson. We don’t have real disasters here, we’re too laid back for that kind of stress.

Tucson is pretty far removed from almost anything. Nice town.
