Three illegal immigrant gang members who faced the death penalty for murdering a Maryland man last summer have been spared by the nations chief law enforcement officer who has ordered prosecutors not to seek the maximum punishment.
Attorney General Eric Holder intervened on behalf of the El Salvadoran gangbangers by directing federal prosecutors handling their conspiracy and murder case to rule out the death penalty, according to a Virginia-based news web site that broke the story this week. The three illegal immigrants are members of a notoriously violent street gang called Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) that has spread throughout the country like the plague.
Last summer they robbed and murdered a man in Virginia as part of a conspiracy to extort money from his prostitution business. A few months later the illegal alien gang members were indicted with federal racketeering and murder. Federal prosecutors indicated that they would seek the death penalty and a court-appointed attorney for one of the defendants was dismissed because he lacked the proper certification for trying a death penalty case.
Just a few weeks ago, defense attorneys prepared jury questionnaires that alluded to the death penalty and eliminated jurors who might discriminate against Latinos. But as the May trial approaches, Holder stepped in and ruled out the death penalty. He refuses to explain the last-minute order claiming that that the attorney generals decision-making process and final decision involving the death penalty is confidential.
Court documents cited in the news report say that Holder authorized and directed the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, Neal McBride, not to seek the death penalty against the illegal immigrants. McBride subsequently filed a corresponding court document (Governments Notice of Intent Not to Seek the Death Penalty) making it official.
This is hardly the first controversy involving President Obamas attorney general. Holder ignited public outrage when he granted civilian criminal trials to several 9/11 terroristsincluding mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammedin New York City and he actually filed a motion to reverse the jury convictions of a bribed U.S. Senator (Ted Stevens) who was found guilty of seven felonies.
Holder has also refused to investigate a fraud-infested community group (ACORN) thats been criminally charged in various states and he dropped charges against the militant Black Panthers for intimidating voters during the 2008 presidential election. The attorney general also refused to criminally charge an Obama cabinet nominee, New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, who withdrew amid a pay to play corruption scandal.
Holders storied career at the Justice Department actually dates back to his days as Bill Clintons deputy attorney general, best known as the guy who orchestrated the last-minute pardons of two jailed domestic terrorists and a fugitive financier. Holder also coordinated the violent Miami raid on the house of a Cuban boys (Elian Gonzalez) family. Along with his boss, Attorney General Janet Reno, Holder ordered heavily armed federal agents to illegally break into the home of Elians relatives to take the boy on Good Friday in 2000.
Cooking the Books on Immigration Lobbying
[snip]It would require an extensive effort to tally the expenditures on immigration. But it is safe to say that since 1998, tens of millions of dollars have been spent on immigration lobbying. And it is clear that the vast majority of those dollars have been spent by those who want expansive immigration policies.
*****************Here are just a few of the big spenders: The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Microsoft Corp, Western Growers Association,American Farm Bureau, American Meat Institute, National Immigration Forum, National Association of Home Builders, National Association of Manufacturers, National Chicken Council, Service Employees International Union, National Council of La Raza, United Farm Workers, Tides Advocacy Fund, Oracle Corp, Dairy Farmers of America, American Hotel & Lodging Assn., Smithfield Foods, American Nursery & Landscape Assn.
IMHO, one of the moral justifications of the death penalty is that it actually PROTECTS life, by giving criminals a reason to “sing” and give up their partners in crime!
Holder does not understand this point, or Holder DOES understand, and does not want to punish the other criminals!
The day may come that heavy facial tattoos are an automatic death sentence.
Our survival as a civilized society will depend on it.

I find it startling that the death penalty is reserved for US Citizen criminals, but not illegal aliens murderers. They don’t want ‘equal rights’, they want special rights, and it seems they get them.
Simple explanation. It was not anyone this asswipe knew that was murdered, so he has no problem removing the death penalty
He and Obama really do hate this country.
Holder probably believes that the few militia kooks arrested last week in Michigan are much more dangerous than MS 13 gang bangers.
Holder is a criminal himself. His boss is a criminal. The American people MUST remove all of these criminals, Reid, Pelosi, Waxman, etc., from office in November.
The suspects, Eris Arguera, Alcides Umana and Adolfo Amaya Portillo, admitted to being members of the MS-13 gang, court documents show.
the Obama White House announced the nomination of Mari Del Carmen Aponte as U.S. Ambassador to El Salvador. It is not Ms. Apontes first brush with an ambassadorship. In 1998, President Clinton nominated her to be Ambassador to the Dominican Republic. She was forced to withdraw her name from consideration over allegations of ties to the Cuban spy agency.
From Washington Times, January 25, 1999:
July 15, 2009
Three El Salvadoran youths face imminent deportation from Minnesota in spite of gang-related death threats in their home country. Attorneys for the youth filed an emergency appeal with the U.S. Supreme Court Tuesday to temporarily block deportation and keep them safe while they pursue an asylum appeal.
The 8th Circuit Court of Appeals and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) both rejected requests to temporarily block deportation, said Ben Casper, a pro bono attorney working on the asylum case. Attorneys have written appeals to U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and Department of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, asking them to intervene directly, in part because the case will set a significant precedent for other asylum cases.
Just a few of the "undocumented American" yutes trying to peacefully assimilate into our culture. They would succeed if it weren't for racist right-wing extremists.
From the website, GangsOrUs.com:
"The story of Mara Salvatrucha 13 [MS13) is inevitably also the story of El Salvador and the results of its twelve-year civil war. From 1980 until 1992, the fighting between the Salvadoran government and the communist rebels claimed over 75,000 lives and sent more than one million refugees and immigrants to the United States and to its neighbors throughout Central America."
"It is worth noting that following the end of the 12-year Salvadoran civil war, the insurgent FMLN a Cuban-orchestrated cohesion of five Communist groups, which was in turn supplied with arms from Cuba, China and the Soviet Union disarmed and became a political party. While the opposition Alianza Republicana Nacional (ARENA) [National Republican Alliance] party has held the presidency since 1989, there are elections scheduled for March 21. FMLN leader Shafik Handal will stand as a candidate. The 72 year-old is the former head of the Salvadoran Communist Party. He has spoken openly about turning El Salvador into a Socialist state, and recently sent Fidel Castro a letter in support of the jailing of 75 peaceful oppositionists in Cuba. His party is an essential part of the MS13 network that continues to send rifles and assorted munitions to the Salvatruchas of Los Angeles and elsewhere in the United States."
Could be Holder’s and Obama’s civilian army?
It’s borrowed, and sorry there was no clue who created it. I’m tech retarded!
Of course they do!
Think about it for a sec. ...Obama wants a private army. Between captured (but Mirandized) terrorists, the black panthers, nation of islam members, MS13 (and other gangsters),...Obama and Holder already HAVE their private army.
Ever consider this is WHY these guys are never prosecuted and allowed to roam free, preying on who they will?
Maryland currently has a put a halt on all executions . I can't remember the last time the death penalty was sought in a murder trial in Maryland . Minority jurors will not convict on a death sentence .
The irony of the parallels does not escape me when you compare the methods used by the Obama Administration to ram socialized medicine down our throats to the methods used by MS13 when they...say...knock over a liquor store
Minority jurors will not convict on a death sentence .
If you were a Klan Grand Dragon up for a lynching, I’m sure they’d find it in them. Not that I’d blame them.
Hey, jla, the title of this thread says nothing about these gangbangers being Hispanic. But it turns out they are. I wouldn’t know that unless I visited the thread to see if it fits my ping list. I guess that also makes me racist, doesn’t it...?
Have I gotten my point through to you yet?
It is unfortunaed that EH is our AG.
I think that should do it.
Yeah. I saw it while doing the ping list just now, and couldn't pass up the chance.
Got bumped off the Internet last night due to a power outage during a pretty good storm, so we decided to hit the sack. This morning, here comes another front while getting ready to to to the high school for our Key Club chapter meeting. Luckily, the timing was right and I made it between fronts. But more's a comin'...
Here’s one Holder missed.
Liberian teenager pleads guilty in rape case
Mar. 30, 2010
A teenage Liberian refugee charged in the gang-rape of an 8-year-old girl in Phoenix last summer pleaded guilty in the case Tuesday, authorities said.
Maricopa County prosecutors said the 15-year-old boy, who was transferred from adult court to juvenile court last week, pleaded guilty to sexual assault, kidnapping, three counts of sexual conduct with a minor and one count of attempted sexual conduct with a minor. He will remain in detention until an April 27 hearing.
The Associated Press is not naming the teen because of his age. He was 14 at the time of the July assault and had been the only one of four boys charged as an adult. All the children involved are refugees from the war-torn West African nation of Liberia.
Prosecutors said the girl was lured July 16 to an empty storage shed at a west Phoenix apartment complex with the promise of chewing gum. The oldest boy admitted holding the victim down while he and three other boys - ages 9, 10 and 13 - sexually assaulted the girl, according to authorities.
Liberians worldwide are watching the case, and many are concerned about how they will be perceived because of the attack. Rape was a common practice during the country’s 14 years of civil war, but Liberia now has some of the strictest laws against the crime in all of Africa.
