Obama Reported Pressing to Slow Congressional Push for Iran Sanctions
Voice of American news ^ | April 5, 2010 | Dan Robinson

The Obama administration is reported to be pressing key members of the U.S. Congress to allow more time before taking final action on legislation that would impose tough, unilateral sanctions on Iran. The president says he believes there can be success within weeks, rather than months, in building a tough sanctions resolution in the U.N. Security Council.

Senator Joseph Lieberman called for quick action, describing new sanctions as a "last chance" for Iran.

But efforts at the United Nations come amid increased concern in the U.S. Congress that Iran might be speeding up efforts to develop a nuclear weapons capability.

Gibbs said only that this is a "critical time period" with U.S. allies at the United Nations. He reiterated the president's belief that a sanctions resolution would be acted on by the Security Council in the next few months.

US is unilaterally surrendering to Iran and is offering to accept a nuclear Iran, without any concessions from Iran — read this from Debka:

G8 skips Iran sanctions to boost secret US opening to IRGC

The US messengers offered IRGC emissaries the following arguments and inducements:

1. Washington was not seeking regime change in Tehran and had proved as much by not backing Iran’s opposition in eight months of their protests against a probably rigged presidential election.

....

5. . As for the core issue, Iran’s nuclear weapons program, here, too, the Obama administration was ready to be flexible, said the messengers, and accept Iran’s acquisition of a nuclear bomb capability, so long as it does not cross the threshold and tip over into building bombs or stocking a nuclear arsenal.

External enemies could never defeat us, so Obama is doing their job from the inside.

As I recall, Europe was trying to put the brakes on Iran as early as 1992 or so. Germany and others were negotiating and Belgium wanted to give Iran time to consider what might happen. Three or so years later, Europe threw up its hands and the U.S. began the negotiations. I think the negotiations got pitched back to Europe sometime in there and, after time passed, the Messiah was elected. Now everything’s going to be just fine, right?

Obama, the 12th Imam, wants Armageddon. All the financial stuff, health care stuff, etc. is just window dressing. Obama wants the end of the world as we know it.

Not possible. Carter backed Obama. They are birds of a feather. Carter certainly did plenty of damage in his day. I'm old enough to remember it.

No kidding. He RUSHES health care that impacts EVERYONE in his nation, most especially the BACKBONE of our nation, practically breaking it in his lust to take from those who work and give to those who do not.

But when it comes to all things Muslim, this man is only too careful not to offend.

He offends his own nation with nary a care and even mocks and shows disgust towards those of us who disagree with ruining the best health care in the world.

Yet it he is AFRAID or REFUSES to offend those who would kill all Christians or infidels.

uhbama is one sick man.

He attempts to shame and distance our once solid relationship with Israel and England.

Yet he proposes to make nice with the Taliban. Is he a Muslim in his heart? Is that why he was able to attend a so called church for 20 some years that hated America?

Is he planning on putting a hijab on Michelle (I would not exactly blame him for that, however) someday and keeping her in a locked and blacked out home? His daughters, as well?)

Watching "24" tonight and of course as usual there is a "mole" at CTU, working for the enemy, undermining the efforts of the good guys.

Is Obama a mole?

Obama is no David Palmer. It’s interesting to see what matters to him. he’s clearly ok with getting tough when he wants to. See his painting of Bill and Hillary Clinton as racists to win the nomination.

OTOH, it was a pretty tough dilemma tonight with handing over Pres Hassan vs letting the bomb go off. I know you don’t want to negotiate with terrorists, but in the case of the bomb going off vs handing over Hassan, I think I’d probably have turned him over.

"Just exactly what is Obama waiting for...?"

He's waiting for Iran to test a bomb, hoping this will scare the Israelis so much they will of their own volition abandon their country in the hope being taken in by Europe or Russia or America. No chance of that happening though. Israel will hit Iran first before they get a chance to test. I wouldn't even put it past a "rogue" American general using forces under his command helping Israel out or even "independent" elements of the US intelligence community getting involved too. What would the alien Kenyan pseudo-American president do then?

“What would the alien Kenyan pseudo-American president do then?”

Bomb Israel?

Note how upset he gets because Israel builds houses in Jerusalem, but doesn’t want to hurt Iran’s feelings, when they are building nukes and are threatening to wipe Israel off the map.

I wouldn't put it past the alien president to order US forces to strike at elements of the IDF or hinder it in some way if Israel attempted to defend itself if attacked by Iran or another Arab/Muslim tribe that poses as a nation. And I wouldn't doubt that the US military would refuse. Now wouldn't that make for an interesting situation.

It almost seems like Obozo WANTS them to get the bomb, no? Oh, certainly that can’t be true, could it?
