KDKA is reporting that an indictment will be forthcoming for Pennsylvania State Sen. Jane Orie (R-40), who is that body's majority whip and the sister of state Supreme Court Judge Joan Orie Melvin.

Now that a democrat Mike Veon has been convicted the democrats need to pursue charges against a republican. It is time Zappalla step aside since there is a conflict of interest due to his supposed families business dealings. The Orie family has always been good to me and in fact married the wife and i. This is all a political witch hunt and will lead to nothing more than a slap on the wrist in the long run. It is designed to take attention away from the real criminals in Harrisburg.
I'm no expert on Pittsburgh politics but it seems a whole lot of effort is going into investigating a rather minor offense.
Meanwhile Sen. Mellow is about read to retire with a 300K annual pension.
