Tea Party Groups Unite in National Tea Party Federation

Formation of “National Tea Party Federation” Announced

Broad Coalition of National, Regional Groups and Local Groups

Uniting for Messaging and Rapid Media Response

Advocacy & Affiliated Groups Participate

***NEWS CONFERENCE:

Minnesota State Capitol - St. Paul, MN - 9:00 AM

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (April 8, 2010) - A broad coalition of national and regional Tea Party groups have announced the formation of the National Tea Party Federation (NTPF). The NTPF is established to create a unified message and media response amongst key leadership and their affiliates. At the same time, the NTPF will act as a clearinghouse and to promote the Tea Party movement’s objectives of:

Fiscal Responsibility
Constitutionally Limited Government
Free Markets

The federation includes key organizations and leadership and is committed to changing the dynamics of communicating clearly to its membership while supporting the aforementioned principles. The approach will allow for clarity of message, rapid response to media misinformation while continuing to build the brand equity of the Tea Party movement. The NTPF will act in unison without a central leadership or overhead yet collaborate through a common set of principles.

The founders of the National Tea Party Federation include the following Tea Party groups:

American Grassroots Coalition
Arkansas Unite
Cincinnati Tea Party
Constitutional TEA Party
DC Works For Us
Illinois Tea Party
New Jersey Tea Party Coalition
New Mexico Patriots
Orlando Tea Party
Pittsburgh Tea Party
ResistNet
Santee East County TEA Party
Take the Town Halls to Washington
Tea Party Express
Tea Party Nation
The Heart of Texas Tea Party
The Memphis TEA Party
The Mississippi Tea Party
Tupelo Tea Party
Waco Tea Party
We The People of Pennsylvania

The National Tea Party Federation is comprised of national, regional and local leadership that has worked to build trust amongst the various parties. The founding members will work to encourage other groups and leadership to join the federation thereby extending its impact and capabilities.

The federation was formed in response to a concerted effort of misinformation propagated by the main stream media. The federation will act as a “rapid response” team to mainstream media misinformation.

Jamie Radtke, further commented, “We have experienced the attempts to suggest that Tea Party members are not part of America’s mainstream. As a mother, I have made my best efforts to raise my voice to oppose the actions of this government for the benefit of my family, community and my country. We and the Virginia Tea Party Federation welcome this effort and the national exposure it will give our movement and our members.”

NTPF has also established alliances which include like-minded advocacy and support groups such as:

60 Plus
Americans for Prosperity
Americans for Tax Reform
Bannon Strategic Advisors
Citizens Against Government Waste
Citizens United
Constitutional Sovereignty Alliance
Contract From America
Doctor Patient Medical Association
Family Research Council
FreedomWorks
Heartland Institute
Institute for Liberty
Let Freedom Ring
Moms for America
National Taxpayers Union
Ronald Reagan Institute for Conservative Leadership
Richard Viguerie
Tea Party Patriots Live!
Victory Media Group

Mark A. Skoda of The Memphis Tea Party commented, “The combination of the Tea Party leadership and a strong network of alliances brings together activists with the resources to get our message out while coordinating across these many groups. The talent, experience and results orientation of the National Tea Party Federation is unprecedented in the current political environment.”

Amy Kremer, of American Grass Roots Coalition and a Director of TEA Party Express, commented, “As a woman and mother, my concerns for the country revolve around our message of smaller government and accountability. The NTPF provides a way in which we can coordinate our efforts nationally and respond to the antagonism of the Left through the media and hold them accountable to responsible reporting.”

Grass roots activists everywhere have worked to inform themselves, notify their representatives of their objections and take action in the form of rallies, meetings and calls into those representatives. Individual groups have worked tirelessly to assemble their members and deliver their comments to their elected legislators. However, the formation of the National Tea Party Federation will allow for a “clearinghouse” of messaging, media comment, local video and documentation while at the same time aligning the affiliates in “one message, one face.”

Skoda, further stated, “The Tea Party movement’s favorability is at an all time high of fifty-two percent. The extraordinary efforts, put forward by common citizens to make their voices heard, will now have a federation capable of national communication.”

Darla Dewald of ResistNet also commented, “The power of this federation is extraordinary. The leadership and advisors who have chosen to affiliate within the National Tea Party Federation are key activists with the capability to deliver a clear message while also working with their membership to achieve change.”

Maggie Hunt of the Santee East County Tea Party stated, “This federation, much like the United States itself, is a combination of large Tea Party organizations and smaller local groups. We are so please to play our part and to participate in this important effort. The time to align our messaging is now and the National Tea Party Federation will give voice to many more in the Tea Party movement.”

Dozens of other Tea Party leadership and affiliates have been invited into the National Tea Party Federation and are working through their review processes. The NTPF is an open federation and welcomes all Tea Party groups and affiliates who are committed to the core principles of fiscal responsibility, constitutionally limited government and free markets.

Why is that? What is the significance of red shirts? Inquiring minds want to know. LOL!

In the original series of Star Trek, the different colors for the uniforms signified what your job area was. Gold was the command uniform, blue was the science uniform, and red was engineering and security.

When ever an away team beamed down to a planet, it would generally be Captain Kirk, Commander Spock, Doctor McCoy, and one or two random security officers. They became known as "red shirts" since they didn't often have a name attached to them.

Red shirts often didn't survive the trip to the planet.

This type of thing always worries me. Power hungry always gravitate to large orgs.

Federation usually refers to the coming together in unity of a number of previously disparate parts. For example, when Australia became a Federation, its six colonies joined together to become one nation.

For those not in the know: Red shirts are a reference to the original Star Trek series. Many episodes included a random crew member wearing a red uniform shirt. This crew member would usually die or meet some horrible fate. The red shirt seemed to signal their impending doom.

“Free Markets”

-

So the globalist RINOs have taken over the tea party movement?

“Free trade”?

How about - buy American! How about BALANCED TRADE. How about open markets for American exports??

We’ve got “free trade”. It’s what’s destroying our economy.

The tea party - if they allow this globalist “federation” to assimilate the movement, just guaranteed their irrelevance.

They’re acting no different that the RINOS.

Will this marginalize the message? ie:Move-On.org, etc etc

It seems to me if Texas or any of the other states succeeded from the union it would be worse than the federation..After all we do have all we need here without the help of the rest of the country..Maybe the federation of the states that want to leave the union would get this country back on the trail we were intended to be on..And for sure Obama would not be president..With him in charge the rest of the country will look like Detroit which that is what he is trying to do to the whole country..

Please note that Texas is the only state with a legal right to secede from the Union . (Reference the Texas-American Annexation Treaty of 1848.)

We Texans love y'all, but we'll probably have to
Take action since B. Hussein Obama won the election. We'll miss you too.

Here is what can happen:

#1: Barack Hussein Obama becomes President of the United States , Texas immediately secedes from the Union .

#2: George W. Bush will become the President of the Republic of Texas .

So what does Texas have to do to survive as a Republic?

1. NASA is just south of Houston , Texas . We will control the space industry.

2. We refine over 85% of the gasoline in the United States .

3. Defense Industry—we have over 65% of it. The term “Don't mess with Texas ,” will take on a whole
New meaning.

4. Oil - we can supply all the oil that the Republic of Texas will need for the next 300 years. Yankee states? Sorry about that.

5. Natural Gas - again we have all we need and it's too bad about those Northern States. John Kerry will have to figure out a way to keep them warm....

6. Computer Industry - we currently lead the nation in producing computer chips and communications—small companies like Texas Instruments, Dell Computer, EDS, Raytheon,
> National Semiconductor, Motorola, Intel, AMD, Atmel, Applied Materials, Ball Miconductor, Dallas Semiconductor, Delphi, Nortel, Alcatel, etc, etc. The list goes on and on.

7. Medical Care - We have the largest research centers for cancer research, the best burn centers and the top trauma units in the world, as well as other large health centers. Dallas has some of the best hospitals in the United States .

8. We have enough colleges to keep us going: University of Texas , Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Rice, SMU, University of Houston , Baylor, UNT ( University of North Texas ), Texas
Women's University, etc. Ivy grows better in the South anyway.

9. We have a ready supply of workers. We could just open the border when we need some more.

10. We have essential control of the paper industry, plastics, insurance, etc.

11. In case of a foreign invasion, we have the Texas
National Guard and the Texas Air National
Guard. We don't have an Army, but since everybody down here has at least six rifles and a pile of ammo, we can raise an Army in 24 hours if we need one. If the situation really gets bad,
We can always call the Department of Public Safety and ask them to send over Chuck Norris and a couple of Texas Rangers.

12. We are totally self-sufficient in beef, poultry, hogs, and several types of grain, fruit and vegetables, and let's not forget seafood from the Gulf. Also, everybody down here knows how to cook them so that they taste good. Don't need any food.

This just names a few of the items that will keep the Republic of Texas in good shape. There isn't a thing out there that we need and don't have.

Now to the rest of the United States under President Obama:

Since you won't have the refineries to get gas for your cars, only President Obama will be able to drive around in his big 9 mpg SUV. The rest of the United States will have to walk or ride bikes.

You won't have any TV as the Space Center in Houston will cut off satellite communications.

You won't have any natural gas to heat your homes, but since Mr. Obama has predicted global warming, you will not need the gas as long as you survive the 2000 years it will take to get enough heat from Global Warming.

Signed, The People of Texas

P.S. This is not a threatening letter - just a note to give you something to think about!

SLEEP WELL TONIGHT THE EYES OF TEXAS ARE UPON YOU!!

One Nation Under God

Kewl. I really think that sessesion is becoming more of an option.

Yesterday I saw a story that quoted some LEO spokesperson saying that if they can smuggle humans (modern slavery) to Houston, then they can spread out across the U.S. This type of thing makes me sick to my stomach.

The FBI and ICE in Houston are useless.
It seems they turn a blind eye to this outrage.
Please include this issue in one of the reasons for sessesion.

• Fiscal Responsibility
• Constitutionally Limited Government
• Free Markets

As long at the Tea Party does not align it with a specific political party and supports real conservatives with this set of objectives, it can influence the selection of candidates in the primaries and outcomes in the elections.

The Republicans need to understand this is not business as usual and the Democrats need to be very afraid. If Tea Party becomes a separate political party (as some have suggested and the democrats/media want), then it is shooting itsself in the foot. If the Tea Party becomes a large voting block with a set of common sense values, then a favorable outcome can be achieved.

In that vein, these objectives can be used to recruit "independents" and democrats (what was that poll the other day). When Democrats/Progressives/Socialists and their attack dogs in the liberal/socialist media trash the Tea Party it grows stronger.

I had an interesting thought the other day. Democrats were always saying, "It's for the children." When you think about what the Obama/Pelosi/Reid Socialists are doing to America, we now own the cause - It's for the children. How are we going to leave America for the children? Massive debt? Sky-high taxes? No jobs and opportunities? A world-class weakling? Third-world health care? Think about it.
