Sarah Palin is playing this brilliantly and I’ll tell you why:
1. it’s 6 months until election day and we don’t need the turmoil of replacing the RNC Chair.
2. Especially coming off of wins in NJ, VA, and MA.
3. The RNC Chair replacement could be a Romneybot, which would not help her should she chose to run for POTUS
4. She can identify with all the attacks, largely by anonymous ankle biters
5. She’s agreeing with Ann Coulter on this one.

First off, Steele’s job is basically marketing. Namely, he’s supposed to sell the Republican party to non Republicans like independents. He has little to nothing to do with policy. We won in NJ, VA and MA. Steele may have had something to do with those electorial successes. If he had something to do with policy, I might be concerned, but he doesn’t. Let’s drop with the RINO crap and do what we should be doing-beat B. Hussein Obama and Nancy Lugosi.

It sounds to me like Steele’s role may have been limited to talking with other politicians in the hope of persuading them, though I admit this is basically just speculation. While I think that there are no doubt better candidates than Steele out there can we afford to replace him right now with the elections in 6 months?

Steele had nothing to do with it. He wasn't on the ballot, and the reason 'Rats lost in MA/NJ/VA is that voters were fed up their institutional corruption and realized that Comrade 0bama is destroying this Nation.

Steele was picked for 3 reasons by the RINO hierarchy of the RNC....

1) To sell the RINO programs of the RNC brass.

2) To throw the conservative wing of the party under the bus.(see post 385 for example)

3) He is black, so when he got caught, he could play the race card.
