I don’t think you can understand the Democrat party of today without understanding slavery and opposition to civil rights legislation in the 60s. Remember, it was Al Gore Sr. who filibustered the civil rights act. Furthermore you can’t understand the Democrat party without understanding the KKK. He should get out more — they already added the perfunctory “slavery is bad” language. It is unfortunate that some of us are so certain that slavery is bad that we sometimes for get that others have to hear it over and over.
