One-time CIA operative Valerie Plame Wilson is one of many notables publicly opposing nuclear weapons. She once tracked "HEU" - highly enriched uranium - from one rogue nation to the next in her clandestine role. These days, Ms. Plame Wilson has written an anti-nuke Op-Ed for CNN, and taped a dramatic message for the network titled "Nukes Not OK."

The no-nuke notables have a nook, however. Many have flocked to Global Zero, a motley, noisy group that has partnered with MoveOn.org and other groups to promote a planet free of nuclear weapons.

Let’s hope Val’s advocacy holds sufficient sway with potential adversaries of the United States. /s

Oh yeah, the “undercover” agent who sent her husband to sip mint tea and ask politely if Saddam had tried to buy yellowcake from Niger. He found out that Saddam had TRIED to, just as Bush said he’d TRIED to, and then came back and said Saddam did not buy any yellowcake, and that therefore Bush lied. And all the idiots ate it up like... well... cake.

The genie is out of the bottle. Pandora’s box has been opened.

The only way to “rid” the planet of nuclear capabilities is to decimate the planet and lose the capability to launch or manufacture such materials.

Meanwhile there is NO talk from the Left on getting the Ruskies to turn off their doomday machine.

There is one (sounds conspiratorial, I know, but Wired had an article on it 2 years ago).

A cold war machine designed in the 1980s in part because of one Soviet who REFUSED a “mutually assured desruction” launch order in 1983. This machine will sense if nukes have been detonated in Russia and launch a response at the US (the presumed source of any attack they may face).

If someone else detonates in Russia and it is sensed, WE get the response.

But Pinkos like Plame blame America First. Nothing but a shadow goverment mole working in the State Department just as Joe McCarthy and Roy Cohn said there were.
