The New York Times ^ | April 9, 2010 | Stephanie Clifford

Magazine ad pages fell 9.4 percent in the first quarter, to about 34,800 pages, the Publishers Information Bureau reported Thursday. The drop was in contrast to many publishers’s upbeat assessments about ad spending returning in the first quarter.

The drop was all the more surprising since it was a decline from the first quarter of 2009, a terrible quarter for magazines, when ad pages fell by 25.9 percent to about 37,200.

It’s amazing that they’d rather be political hacks without a job rather than journalists with a job.

It’s amazing that they’d rather be political hacks without a job rather than journalists with a job.

They’d really like to be political hacks with Government jobs as Journalists working for taxpayer subsidized news outlets.

Yes, but the closings are lagging. Magazinedeathpool.com
only lists two titles as having shuttered so far this year. Hopefully this portends many more for the 2nd qtr.

Michelle Obama was in “The Advocate” and said she experimented at Princeton? Was that photo shopped, was that a real article?

But, the gay activists tell us that homosexuality is not a choice, yadda, yadda, yadda. Therefore, how could Michelle have experimented?
