36 USA Swimming Coaches Molested Teen Athletes

The pictures were taken from a camera that was hidden in a locker. The girl was about 12 when it happened. I remember when my daughter was swimming in grade school, my husband noticed a strange man taking pictures on the pool deck, pretty soon others noticed him too and he was banned from all swim events.

Evidently this aired on ABC / Twenty-twenty or will air. I don't know because I've never watched the show, but they are trying to equate this scandal to the Catholic Church, for real, no joke.

That’s an unfortunate situation that continues today. I suspect it’s easier now than ever, unless the coaches have always been good at telling when parents don’t care. I just can’t imagine parents like that (fortunately for me. I guess).

So what do you think thus far? I only heard of him through traditional Catholic groups. The more I read, the more I love.

Actually, the country is full of parents like that, they dump their kids at a boarding school, a military academy or some athletic academy or team, all the time. It might not start out as a way to dump the kid, but it usually ends up that way. My husband’s parents did it. It’s sometimes for the best because it reduces the influence of the parent on the child. Sometimes, it is only a few steps above putting your kid in an orphanage. The only difference is that the material needs are all met.

You know I’m just trying to figure how this happened. When I was a kid I remember if you went to a friends house who had a built in pool on a hot day, they either gave you a trunk set aside for visitors or you wear the short pants you wore for the summer heat instead long pants. I just can’t compute even if another simpler time for this except if a stream or brook with friends when 90 degrees or above long way from home.
