Polish president's body 'found' in crash wreckage - source

18:0510/04/2010

The body of Polish President Lech Kaczynski may have been found in the wreckage of the plane that crashed earlier on Saturday in western Russia, a highly-placed police source told RIA Novosti.

Speaking from the scene of the clean-up operation, the source said however that "additional tests, including DNA," would be needed to identify many of the bodies.

All 97 people on board died when a plane carrying Kaczynski, his wife, and a delegation of senior officials crashed in thick fog while attempting to land at Smolensk airport.

Kaczynski was on his way to a ceremony in nearby Katyn to commemorate the memory of some 20,000 Polish officers killed by Soviet secret police during World War Two.

Repeated tries at landings in the fog. Yeah, I guess Russia doesn’t have ILS approaches at their big airports. This stinks big time.

First thoughts on reading this story, assassination of Archduke Ferdinand starts WW I.

We have a man-child in command, and 0bama cannot even recognize when his betters at the game of global domination have a victory. He grins when they launch missiles, he delivers a speech while they arm missiles with nuclear bombs. Let's have a few more negotiations, is his first and every answer.

Just a first thought, will today go down as a flashpoint too?

Check Google Earth!. It isn’t a “big Russian Airport” at all. Single runway and only small planes located on ramps and parking areas.

That's a pet-peeve of mine. Check out the BBC's news site sometime. They're insane with the quotes.

It's as if they're afraid that a headline reporting an occurrence might be attributable to a third party, so they quote the hell out of descriptive words like 'found'.

Polish President Lech Kaczynski and his wife Maria, pray during a canonization ceremony led by Pope Benedict XVI in St. Peter's Basilica at the Vatican Sunday, Oct. 11, 2009. The pontiff gave the Roman Catholic church five new saints Sunday, including Father Damien, born as Jozef De Veuster in 1840, a Roman Catholic priest from Belgium who cared for leprosy victims on the Hawaiian island of Molokai from 1873 to 1889, when the disease killed him. The other new Saints are 19th century polish bishop Zygmunt Szczesny Felinski; Spanish faithful Francisco Coll y Guitart and Rafael Arniaz Baron, and Jeanne Jugan, a Frenchwoman described by Vatican Radio as an "authentic Mother Teresa ahead of her time."

Once again the Illuminati act against the free people of the world. Watch, Polish relation with the US will suddenly grow much colder and they will slowly fall back into the Russian sphere of influence.

Wonder if this was part of the agenda in Prague... unofficially of course.

I find it hard to believe that the Polish Air Force pilot, one would presume with a great amount of experience considering his “cargo”, after several go arounds, clipped the tops of the trees in fog and went down. This is a major air base/airfield in Russia - there is no ILS ??

I think it is time for former officials to start speaking up. This world is a much more dangerous place than it was 12:00 noon, Jan 20, 2009.

I have not felt this apprehensive since I was a child during the Cuban Missle Crisis. I was not this apprehensive after 9/11.

We are not looking at a single terrorist attack (although it remains a clear danger). The world is getting ready to explode. Our strength was the stabilizer. We are seen as weak by the world. A weak, debt ridden nation that has turned its back on its best allies.

I too remember the daily apprehension during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Everyone was on alert and worried if their gas tanks fell below the halfway mark and people were building backyard bomb shelters next to their kids’ swing sets. During 9/11 we were able to be more p-off than worried because we knew we had a president and government who would be there for us. Today, our resident and government is decidedly against us. They are the enemy and they are striking us down on a daily basis. They are alienating our friends and laying us vulnerable for any enemy to devour as they please. This is bigger than the Missile Crisis.

Yes, we are unprotected. 0, if confronted with important decisions and escalating world tensions would react as he would to anything else, form a committee. When he makes a decision it will be a compromise with the right, talking boldly with nothing to back it up. We are replaying early and middle 20th Century boogeyman again, and now Chamberlain is OUR head of state. I usually am flip about news like this, filing it away as a sign of bad things. This news feels like 9-11, only it is more important how a serial adulterer does during golf to those supposedly watching events.

We were at Camp Pendleton. Our bags were packed and lined along the hallway. If the balloon went up, my dad was going to go to one of the bunkers, but he promised to call and indicate that he was being so assigned; we would grab the bags and leave the house.

I have found it impossible to convey to sheeple what the cold war was really like.

Both of my parents died just a few years ago. I still grieve for those two incredily strong and resourceful people, but I take comfort that neither of them lived to see the scum in power today.

At least Pendelton was out of range of Cuba. Odds are you'd have had an hour or so before the Russians got their poop in a group and launched their home based missiles.

I have found it impossible to convey to sheeple what the cold war was really like.

Yeah. It's all 'Spy Vs Spy' fun and games to them, on the rare occasions you can even get them to think about it.

Reagan presided over a victory so total the entire war has been forgotten.
