Tea Party drops speaker for alleged ties to white supremacists

Eidsmoe reportedly spoke at an Alabama Secession rally, Zielinski said. He covered topics touching on slavery and the Constitution.

Eidsmoe’s speech in the rally claimed God ordained slavery, and Jefferson Davis was a much better President of the Confederate States than Abraham Lincoln ever was for the United States.

“He’s a pseudo-intellectual racist who belongs to the League of the South and whose writings happen to pop up on neo-Nazi websites,” Zielinski said.

Don’t let the high level interlopers detract us from the low level ones.

We must be vigilant!

An Alabama Secession rally

They have got to be kidding.

That would mean that Mississippi would have to build a really big wall.

How can the title of an article be Tea Party drops speaker for alleged ties to white supremacists when buried within the article is the following.......

It still remains unclear if Eidsmoe withdrew his speaker position or if he was dropped by the Tea Party Convention staff.

???

Remember, this is a student ran newspaper from UW-Madison; the same one that published socialist rants when I went there a few years ago.

While it seems that we should not have dealings with this person, Why the heck don’t the Rats have to disassociate with their radicals? Our President is a practical magnet for leftists.

Good for them for their quick action. I’ll bet that guy was a democrat.

I hope the leaders of the tea parties are vigilant about stopping liberal spies posing as tea partiers disrupt or besmirch any rallies.

I could care less. I’m sick of “racist” being the ultimate negative accusation. We’re to the point that if someone points out that there never was a slave uprising in the history of Alabama he’ll be deemed a “racist”.

“In the audience listening to Wallace were a number of leading white supremacists. They included Don Black, proprietor of Stormfront.org, the most influential hate site on the Internet, and former Alabama grand dragon of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan; Jamie Kelso, right-hand man and Louisiana roommate of former Klan leader David Duke; Jared Taylor, editor of the neo-eugenicist American Renaissance magazine; Ed Fields, an aging white supremacist leader from Georgia; Alabama CCC leader Leonard “Flagpole” Wilson, who got his nickname shouting “Keep Bama white!” from atop a flagpole during University of Alabama race riots in 1956; and the CCC’s national leader, St. Louis personal injury lawyer Gordon Lee Baum. …

Also speaking at the most recent convention was John Eidsmoe, a former law school professor and close friend and one-time legal adviser to Roy Moore, the Alabama chief justice ejected from his post for defying federal court orders to remove a Ten Commandments monument from the Supreme Court rotunda. Like Moore, Eidsmoe has suggested that the government “may not act contrary to God’s laws.”

First of all, I have yet to see any proof that Eidsmore is a racist. There are all sorts of allegations being tossed about, but I have yet to see any facts. Racism is a horrible accusation to level against someone. These are the same people that accuse everyone in the Tea Party of being racists. Unless I see some facts or proof, I will remain cautious.

Mississippi would have to build a really big wall to keep their people from fleeing to Alabama. I’ve had friends contact me and say if Texas does secede from the Union, we’ll be down there in a heartbeat.

If this country becomes a Socialist Block Nation, who wants to live here?

There are all sorts of these KKK loons right here on Free Republic. Look at almost any Civil War or Abraham Lincoln thread. (Why they are allowed to post their agit-prop here is perhaps FR’s greatest mystery.)

The larger point to remember is that this racist Klan nonsense is not American, not Christian, and certainly not conservative but is in fact the very opposite of all those things.

The teapartiers are good decent folks. But are some nutcases out there that will try to take advantage and join the bandwagon.

Anyone who says that slavery was a good thing needs to be tossed out on their rear end.
