McCain is 'father of birther movement' (McCain paved the way for Obama)
World Net Daily ^ | 2010-04-13 | Joseph Farah

(snip)

Hayward should turn the tables on McCain.

You see, aside from Obama, no one is more to blame for the continuing controversy over the missing birth certificate and the eligibility issue than is … John McCain.

In fact, you could easily call John McCain "the father of the birther movement," or "the author of the birther movement."

Why?

Because McCain did something very strange during the 2008 campaign.

When the press and obviously partisan groups like FactCheck.org and even McCain's colleagues in Congress raised questions about his constitutional eligibility to become president as a "natural born citizen," McCain quietly provided the long-form birth certificate and other supporting material to the U.S. Senate for its investigation. He did so without ever once demanding his opponent get the same treatment.

Obama got a free ride – not only from all 50 states that never investigated his eligibility requirements, not only from the Electoral College, not only from all other controlling legal authorities, but also from the press and the partisan watchdogs posing as non-partisan watchdogs.

So, who would you rather have representing you in the U.S. Senate – a compliant lapdog like McCain who never dared even to demand equal treatment between the two major presidential candidates, or, a principled opponent like Hayworth who stands up without fear in pointing out the emperor has no birth certificate?

Oh? So the Senate does investigate eligibility for all candidates? Or just minority party members?

It’s all by design.I have said this since before the election. We were punished by the politicians for raising hell about amnesty and getting it temporarily stopped. The republicans promptly lost control of both houses in subsequent elections leading up to and including installing the marxist.I remember what bush and gramnesty said about those of us that raised hell about it and scared the underling politicians and look what we have now.Very few of the sumbitches are worth keeping.Mad as hell? YOU BET.

McCain makes me sick. For someone that was a POW he is the biggest pussy I’ve ever seen.

This brings to light new evidence regarding McCain's injuries after being shot down in Vietnam:

The damned Communists shot his freakin' NUTS off, the poor bastard!

You don't have to be particularly brave to be a POW. It's something that just happens to you.

Hayward (sic) should turn the tables on McCain.

Brilliant. That is a sensible strategy. Turn the birther issue-anchor around on McCain by spouting off birther stuff about how McCain should have demanded a long-form birth certificate.

Hope Hayworth doesn't take political advice from WorldNetDaily.

McCain played the victim when Bush beat him in South Carolina but he is very quick to get as dirty and aggressive as anyone. Hayworth needs to go back at him.

Funny stuff going on. The McCain BC that I saw confirmed what was already well known - McCain too was not eligible to be president, albeit for a different reason than Obama.
The birth certificate, which WND apparently didn't reproduce, says that McCain was born in Colon. It made no difference because the U.S. did not have complete jurisdiction over the Canal Zone in 1936 either. There were over a dozen law review articles denouncing Article II natural born citizenship in the five years before Obama. One was by a junior partner at Kirkland and Ellis, employed by a senior partner who led McCain's defense team in the law suits questioning his eligibility. This is dirty stuff, and while McCain clearly felt entitled, his ambition clearly enabled the Obama regime to perpetrate the smoke screen around eligibility long enough that it didn't hurt his campaign.

Cmdr. Kerchner sent registered letters to congress asking that they investigate Obama as they did McCain. McCain was investigated four times in Congress, two phony senate judiciary committee hearings, and two law suits defended by Obama-connected law firm Kirkland and Ellis. McCain probably did not participate in the Obama elections as an Obama supporter, but he did receive significant financial support from George Soros. He certainly knew his running would prevent the Republicans from saying anything about Obama’s British/Kenyan - non-citizen - father. Kerchner’s clearly valid complaint is that Congress failed in their constitutional requirement to dispense equal protection under the law. The Kerchner/Apuzzo law suit is wending its way through appeals courts, set for yet another hearing in June on standing issues. The merits have never been heard, for any of the eligibility cases. Many critics declaim the quality of the plaintiff lawyers. The supreme court has original jurisdiction in a case directly questioning an article of the Constitution. Part of the function of the law is to obviate the need for armed struggle. Our legal system is failing us - so far.

It is beginning to dawn that those close to our seat of power understand that our judicial system is so corrupt, so beholden to both the legislative and the executive branches that they will continue to act as if the troublesome articles of our Constitution don't exist. It seems as well that our conservative pundits are either not what they claim, or they have been promised incitement charges effectively ending their careers if they speak openly about the obviously ineligible president.

It isn't the first time. The remarkable history of Chief Justice Charles Evans Hughes, who ran against Woodrow Wilson while his father never was a U.S. citizen shows that the ruling class believes they are above the rules. Hughes was exposed by a future FDR Attorney General, Breckenridge Long (thanks Sharon Rondeau). Then Hughes wrote the decision in Perking v. Elg wherein he confirmed the Vattel definition of natural born citizenship once again when he referred to Minor v. Happersett. But Hughes didn't become president. It seems likely that Long would have raised the issue if he had, since the Chicago Law Journal article was written before the 1916 election. But those were different times.

Is the Constitution, as Obama has shown, window dressing to keep the proletariat calm and productive? It is beginning to look like it. It may take “the people”, tea party power, to force leaders to obey the Constitution. It is worth considering what legal mechanisms exist to replace federal judges as we replace congressman. Another suggestion, not a new one, is to prevent lawyers from holding legislative office. Working where laws are written is a clear conflict of interest. Lawmakers can hire lawyers as needed, but they produce nothing; it is time to get them out of the law making business where they create opportunities for their own wealth.

The next time McCain runs one of those "birther" ads, or the next time some reporter questions Hayworth about his "birther" record, J.D. needs to point out the obvious: We are still debating this issue because McCain didn't have the wisdom, the foresight, the courage or the constitutional convictions to force Obama to reveal the truth when he had the chance.

McCain is scared to death of making blacks and Hispanics angry. IMHO, tip toeing around minorities is a sign of racism. If Obama had been white, McCain would have been all over the birth, and "Rev." Wright issues.

No, seriously. This is such a stretch of an argument to make that I wonder if he sprained his brain in the process.

OMG, can anyone confirm if the campaign ad in the article is legit?
Did MeInsane honestly put out an ad like that? It looks like a spoof, but the ending makes it appear to be real.

McCain too was not eligible to be president

Untrue. McCain and Obama could have both been born on the moon, and McCain would still be a natural-born citizen while Obama would not.

A child's citizenship is based on the citizenship of it's parents, NOT the place of it's birth.

§ 215. Children of citizens born in a foreign country.
It is asked whether the children born of citizens in a foreign country are citizens? The laws have decided this question in several countries, and their regulations must be followed.(59) By the law of nature alone, children follow the condition of their fathers, and enter into all their rights (§ 212); the place of birth produces no change in this particular, and cannot, of itself, furnish any reason for taking from a child what nature has given him; I say "of itself," for, civil or political laws may, for particular reasons, ordain otherwise. But I suppose that the father has not entirely quitted his country in order to settle elsewhere. If he has fixed his abode in a foreign country, he is become a member of another society, at least as a perpetual inhabitant; and his children will be members of it also.
Law of Nations, Emmerich de Vattel
