On the weekend of April 17-18, 2010 RWVA Volunteers Have Organized Over 100 Nationwide Coast-to-Coast "April 19th" Appleseed Events.
Volunteers have begged, cajoled and worked to provide over 100 ranges with room for nearly five thousand Americans to gather and celebrate their Heritage and History, three and a half miles of firing line combined so that they can study and share the traditions of Rifle Marksmanship to remember, and honor the men and women who birthed a nation on April 19, 1775. On this weekend, we can meet on the rolling plains of Oklahoma. We can meet in the arid expanses of New Mexico. We can meet under the shade of palm trees in Florida and California - and in the shadow of the Rockies.
We can meet throughout our great land, from coast-to-coast to learn the American tradition of rifle marksmanship and hear the Story of April 19th, 1775 - the one you never heard in school, the historically-true one.

Oh Man, Could we use all of them on the boarder right now.
Why don’t you become one of ‘us’ instead?
My 3 square feet will be on the line in Davilla, TX.
Appleseed Bump!
I’m registered for this weekend.
There is one right near me. I hadn’t heard of this before, I’ll spread the word.
Thanks!
Bumping!
The one in North Little Rock is at http://www.darc1.com This is a place they train SEALS and Delta. Very cool place! I’ll be at the Memphis Tea Party on the 15th handing out flyers.
The Concord/Lexington battle is an interesting period of American history. It showed that the oppressors - King George III’s army - bled and died just like any normal person. Baptism by fire. It served as the exclamation point to the Declaration of Independence and for common citizens to embrace our God-given freedoms.
God bless the Founders. May our courage and determination be equal to theirs.

LV, are you going to the one in Fbg?
Not sure. I hope to. ;o)
So what kind of rifles do most people bring? I've never been to one.
They’ll be happy to have you no matter what rifle you bring. With that being said, most people shoot .22 rifles. This is probably due to cost, and also due to comfort. You will shoot a lot over the two days, probably 300-500 rounds, and fatigue sets in early with the larger calibers. A magazine-fed rifle with iron sights is what they are teaching to, with Ruger 10/22s and Marlin 795s being very common. At the last one I went to, there were lever actions, ARs, Garands, SKS, several .22s, and I think a Nagant. I’m going to my second one this weekend.
A Ruger 10-22 is the Most Popular,
Any Rifle Gets You in the Action.
But,the 10-22 with a couple Mods is the HOT Ticket.
