Those unpatriotic colonials in 1775 should’ve just paid King George’s tea tax and shut the hell up.

I am Taxed Enough Already. T.E.A. And I am tired of infantile, self important, liberals, like Lundquist, stealing the fruits of my labor to spend on whatever they please so they can feel good about themselves and buy votes with my money to keep me enslaved.

This ol'gal probably thinks that the difference between tax revenues two years ago and tax revenues this year was a "tax cut" and not a Depression.

I do believe the Leftwingtards are smoking strange weed. Best they buy American next time.

If paying taxes is so patriotic... then why isn't he advocating that the 40%+ that pay nothing start paying!

I’ve never heard of this communist sicko Laura Lunquist.

Who is this piece of used toilet paper, and why should anyone care what she has to say? Obviously, her mouth and anus are inter-changeable parts.

Why doesn’t she complain to Rangel, Turbo-tax Timmy, and the dozen or so members of the Obozo Administration who don’t pay any taxes and get away with it?

If Tea Baggers really want less government, they should stop being contentious speed bumps and let legislators do the negotiating that can lead to successful compromise.

Hate to point out the EXTREMEly obvious, but Obama is growing the government at a rate never seen before. In fact, since Congres went Democrat in 2006, spending has increased logirithmically. It is only by being speed bumps that we can slow down the sure financial ruin of this country...and in case you haven't noticed, the left is no longer interested in compromise.

Next they will ram through amnesty using reconciliation. (Nuclear option.)

Paying taxes is patriotic.

The Revolution was part of a tax revolt. Wish they'd have rid us all of the Tories way back then!

If paying taxes is patriotic, then why are 50% of the population not being patriotic but hiding behind socialism`s wage thievery?

Yes, paying taxes is patriotic as it is part of the duty of all citizens. However, as Judge Learned Hand famously stated:

"Anyone may arrange his affairs so that his taxes shall be as low as possible; he is not bound to choose that pattern which best pays the treasury. There is not even a patriotic duty to increase one's taxes. Over and over again the Courts have said that there is nothing sinister in so arranging affairs as to keep taxes as low as possible. Everyone does it, rich and poor alike and all do right, for nobody owes any public duty to pay more than the law demands"

And it is patriotic and the duty of all Americans to make sure their Government stays within the bounds set by the Constitution and wisely steward the resources voluntarily given to it.

Actually she is wrong it wasn’t a “tax cut” it was a less taken from your pay checks. I paid more in but got less back so I would not call that a tax cut.

I was contemplating how on earth a news organization could publish such a nonsensical screed that looks like nothing so much as the rant of a teenage girl over “that bitch” (meaning another teenage girl she sees as a rival for the affections of a boy).

Then i saw the “.edu” on her email address.

Lundquist should show America her patriotism... pay *ALL* her earnings to the government.

Come on, Lundquist... you said it was patriotic. What are you, some sort of evil anti-American?

The dinosaur news media may be dying but it’s not going out with a whimper. It’s going out with a hideous, maniacal scream.

Tea Baggers claim to promote fiscal responsibility, free markets — the same ones that got us into this economic mess — and constitutionally limited government.

This was as far as I was able to get in the "article". Free markets and fiscal responsibility didn't get us into the economic mess...politicians and in particular democrats did. And what "constitutionally limited government" does the author thing we have in the US? Our core problem is that we DON'T have a constitutional government. Our "representatives" have essentially dissolved our nation.

Lundquist: Paying taxes is patriotic, many tea partiers are not

Then what does that make these folks...?

Nearly half of US households escape fed income tax
