At nuclear summit, Obama snubs an ally

Forty-seven world leaders are Barack Obama’s guests in Washington Tuesday at the nuclear security summit. Obama is holding bilateral meetings with just 12 of them. That’s led to some awkward exclusions -- and some unfortunate appearances, as well.

One of those left out was Mikheil Saakashvili, president of Georgia, who got a phone call from Obama last week instead of a meeting in Washington. His exclusion must have prompted broad smiles in Moscow, where Saakashvili is considered public enemy no. 1 -- a leader whom Russia tried to topple by force in the summer of 2008. After all, Obama met with Viktor Yanukovych, the president of Ukraine and a friend of the Kremlin. And he is also meeting with the leaders of two of Georgia’s neighbors -- Armenia and Turkey, both of which enjoy excellent relations with Russia.

Earlier today, I posted a story about the possible resignation of the Kyrgyzstan president. In my first post, I stated, half seriously, Gerogia is probably next. I guess I'll have to rescind the half part, now.

For the Kenyan and for the Left in general, status as an Ally of the USA makes a country The Enemy.

Ok, let’s organize the info to see what is going on.

47 world leaders coming to town next week.

Bammy decided to meet personally and ahead of the summit with the following...

President Serzh Sargsyan of Armenia,
President Hu Jintao of China,
Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany,
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh of India,
King Abdullah II of Jordan,
President Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan,
Prime Minister Najib Razak of Malaysia,
Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani of Pakistan,
President Jacob Zuma of South Africa

These had “reasons” to not be there.

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev
French President Nicolas Sarkozy
British Prime Minister Gordon Brown

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvill got a highly touted phone call?

So far he has not contacted the following...

Algeria,
Argentina,
Australia,
Belgium,
Brazil,
Canada,
Chile,
Czech Republic,
Egypt,
Finland,
Indonesia,
Israel,
Italy,
Japan,
Mexico,
Morocco,
Netherlands,
New Zealand,
Norway, the
Philippines,
Poland, the
Republic of Korea,
Saudi Arabia,
Singapore,
Switzerland,
Spain,
Sweden,
Thailand,
Turkey,
United Arab Emirates,
Ukraine,
Vietnam.

I suppose bammy is pretty busy what with the amnesty coming up and the never ending health industry takeover /nationalization /communization speeches.

Or golf.

It’s so logical it’s simple. Obama hates America so naturally he hates all of America’s traditional allies.

Bambam sits in a photo-op with King Abdullah, all smiles and chuckles.

Bambam ditches Bibi to have dinner with "his family", leaving Bibi to kick his heels waiting for The Messiah to return. No photo-op ... except for the one where he has his finger in Bibi's face.

I'm living in an alternate universe.
