Dow Theorist Richard Russell Predicts Israel Strike On Iran Nuclear Facilities

Joe Weisenthal
Apr. 14, 2010, 8:08 AM

This has been a concern for world markets for awhile, and now the famous Richard Russell of the Dow Theory Letters chimes in.

Here's what he wrote yesterday:

Russell is thinking -- The US has always played "big Brother" to Israel. But lately the two have had arguments and it's clear that the US has pulled away from Israel. It occurs to me that Israel is planning to attack Iran and destroy its nuclear facilities.
If so, the US does not want to be connected or involved with any attack on Iran and the Muslim world. I find it hard to believe that Israel will sit tight as Iran develops full nuclear capabilities.
Iran's crazy leader has already sworn to wipe Israel off the face of the map. Israel is dealing with Ahmadinejad, who is a lying mad-man. Jews had their fill of madmen with Hitler, and I'm thinking Israelis no longer trust anti-Semitic madmen ("never again"). My bet -- Israel attacks Iran while the US plays "Gee, what's happening?"

Israel doing the work Obama refuses to do.

But then what could be more important than Ukranian uranium?

The author implies this is some sort of master plan by the Obama administration to distance itself from Israel prior to an attack. Personally? I think Obama is just a Palestinian sympathizer like the rest of the leftists. Frankly I’m surprised he isn’t wearing a keffiyeh to all state functions.

Pretty absurd.

Israel has threatened action for years and done nothing.

That isn't going to change UNLESS Iran definitely gets nukes etc.

without the support of a u.s. president,

comrade obama,

and with bunker buster bomb deliveries sidetracked,

why would israel go alone?

Israel has a habit of developing their own munitions.
Doubt our holding back on the bunker busters will stop the inevitable.

More likely that Obama will tip off Iran if it gets wind of an attack.

My gut feel is that there would be significant positioning of naval assets before the flag goes up. What are the navies of the world up to - anything new and unusual? Even in the 21st century, ships still need to provisioned and deployed.

LOL......Krauthammer said he can’t sleep at night worrying about Canadian Uranium.

And then there’s Mexican Uranium..........who knew!

Pakistan not part of the discussion. They are the most likely, along with North Korea to sell their uranium to terror countries.

Anyone remember Khan, the nuclear proliferator......who is now back working in POCKESTAHN...........

You have to wonder just what type of crack is being smoked by our msm. Do they have a magic ray gun that will protect them and their families?

Israel has threatened action for years and done nothing.

The only potential downside to Israel waiting until the last minute to strike is that they could miscalculate when that minute occurs. The potential upside is a regime change in Iran or the West making Iran an offer if couldn't refuse.

That isn't going to change UNLESS Iran definitely gets nukes etc.

I don't get this comment. Are you suggesting that Iran is *not*,in fact, working to get a nuke? Or are you saying that Israel will wait until *after* they get one to strike? If you doubt Iran's intentions then you're naive. If you're suggesting the other then you need to resume your meds.

Just my guess the USA deliberately is distancing itself from Israel because we know the attack is coming.

Israle must act BEFORE Iran gets nukes. It only takes ONE nuke to ruin your whole day!

“I think Obama is just a Palestinian sympathizer like the rest of the leftists.”

Do not underestimate Obama’s cowardice. The “finger-pointer” is thinking 2 steps ahead. He doesn’t have the cojones to do what Israel knows needs to be done. When the attack comes, Obama will join the world community in verbally expressing outrage that Israel didn’t give “diplomacy” time to work even as he and the rest of the world sleep far more soundly knowing Iran has been side-lined as an immediate threat. Name a single country that wishes Saddam was still in power, yet criticism of Bush’s “illegitimate” war continues to this day.

“why would israel go alone?”

Why did Jews prefer suicide at Masada to surrender to thugs?
Although the dust-up at the WH with Netanyahu ostensibly was over settlements, one wonders whether he didn’t deliver an unequivocal message: “President Obama, you have said repeatedly Iran’s acquisition of nuclear weapons is unacceptable. We agree and are prepared to launch a military attack to take out their facilities if by date X all other efforts have failed. We could use your help: bunker-busters, intelligence, flyover rights through Iraqi airspace. But if you cannot/will not help, we are prepared to go this alone. We hope you understand that our national survival is at stake.”

Needless to say, the coward in the Oval Office opted to flagrantly dis Netanyahu before the entire world rather than stand strong against an international bully. By so doing, he virtually ensured I’mANutJob will ignore sanctions on the mistaken belief that Israel wouldn’t dare go ahead without U.S. cooperation. This is the price of amateur hour at the WH.
