Your right. The Republican establishment also seems to be trying to push him to the front. Just like McLame was the chosen one. It’s his turn now.

“Unfortunately there are many supports on FR for this guy, very disappointing. And if they are on FR they are out in the country. “

just look at CPAC.

Personally, except that MR is taller and whiter and his wife is way more attractive than Mickey, I am not seeing much difference between MR and barry.
One is liberal and one is a communist, pretty much the same these days.

Why does he seem like a decent man? He obviously has no principles whatsoever. If a poll showed that 90% of Americans favored euthanizing everyone over the age of 65, he would start explaining how he has always supported such a proposition. He’s a complete weasel!

People whose wholesome impressions hide a craven, withered soul that is willing spout anything it thinks will help it gain power are dangerous indeed.

If Romney gets the nomination it is going to another McGovern but this time for the GOP. There is NO way, Romney will carry any other state other than Utah. I won’t happen.

And the media will have a field day with the Mormon history of racism.

There are tons of reasons to oppose Romney other than his religion, but I guarantee the MSM will focus on that, esp with him running against Zero.

Out of his own mouth - he’ll use it IF he sees it may be a plus for him. Otherwise, he denies it.

He is the king of deception - and too stupid to realize that he just outed himself one more time!

You all still wanna cast down those that believe we should be what you so affectionately call “purists?”

This is what all of your compromising for the letter “R” gets you, dolts!

Go ahead, vote GOP and “R”, and help the left get their mission accomplished.

RINO’s are just peachy, aren’t they?

Go GOP! Sis, boom rah!

Heck, if I were a leftist, I’d run as an “R” just to undermine you and your thick-headed friends. Because I know you’ll whore-out your vote for ANYTHING with an “R” behind it.

But Romney is the bigger moron because he actually thinks he’s a conservative.

Do you suppose he really does?

I think he's a "brand" kind of guy, and so are a lot of Americans. There's the Democrat brand and the Republican brand, kind of like Apple and Microsoft. I really do think and fear that to a lot of Americans, it's not much deeper than that, and yet the Republican brand is worth a nation's existence.

Conservatives need to gain and protect that brand. It's not a cheap imitation of using government to cure ills but with a different logo, as Romney would have it. Republicanism must be fundamental bent toward smaller government in a free market and more individual freedom and responsibility. The concept whisks over Romney's head. Same with Whitman and Schwarzenegger.

And you're right, you have to wonder -- do they actually think they're conservative?

Interestingly, I heard part of your response to my criticism of Romney from another thread when reading this.

"That a candidate IS in fact, an American. Add to that; believe; again, like most decent Repubs; Mitt has family values; spiritual values et al. . .and he has an appreciation for our Constitution - unlike current WH occupant. His 'progressive instincts' aside; he believes in the virtues of Capitalism. He has a an appreciation for the 'moral fabric' of America. And again; incredible to have to raise this, in defense of any American - that we can celebrate that this Republican is NOT a communist; not an Alynskyite!"

Thoughts?

spiritual values et al.

Robbing citizens of their money - taking away their freedoms under his gov't controlled mittcare, his underhandedness of coming against Sarah, his plans to use zerocare if it can help me, but, also, denies it's the same - the list goes on. Now tell me about his spiritual values. That spirit is from the pit!

I see him as the GOPs Tiger Woods. Not because of affairs, etc. But because he’s a creation of marketing. Who we’re told he is, and who he really is are two completely different people.

Interestingly, I heard part of your response to my criticism of Romney from another thread when reading this. . . .Thoughts?

You probably noticed that I was responding to the straw poll that had Mitt the 'Repub choice' for 2012. . .and more puzzling and unfortunate; was Ron Paul a close second; with Sarah somewhere behind the both of them.

No question Mitt has back pedaling to do; and we know he is good at it. He made that statement in March (?) and was definitely not reading tea leaves' per HCR. But he is right; Obama cannot have it both ways but neither can Romney; and he knows that - now. Of course, Massachusetts had the support of both Dem and Repub Party - and their constituencies - as they moved foreward on this. Quite a different scenario by political scope.

That said, the old 'wheat/chafe' MO, challenges us. We lift up Sarah and 'damn' McCain; (and Steele) and then. . .(Sarah praises both). We celebrate Glen Beck bringing our Constitution out of the closet and his exposing Obama; and then he damns Democrats and Republicans with equal fervor/equal blame. . .with subtext messaging for 'third Party'; (with Sarah, perhaps, leading it - he has pushed her on this.) I hope Sarah stays within the Party; and her overtures to McCain/Steele may indicate her attempts, thus far, anyway. Do think this an unfortunate addendum to Beck's good work. Should 'third Party' rise; it can only serve America's enemies.IMO

Have to say, too; that it is tiresome that Repubs dismiss and attack so readily, when a Repub offers an opinion/solution contrary to their own. The are pushed off 'their' bus immediately. While some more perfect than others; we do have some good Repubs. . .and more on the way. NO candidate, however, will reflect our views, 100%. We need all decent Repubs, IMHO, to move forward - and more quickly; while we 'raise up and into Party' more Conservatives. And they are on the way.

Obama; beyond his worst anti-America/anti-Capitalist committments; has never met a radical Muslim; or Islamic country he could not praise; nor a Christian; or Western Democracy, that he could. Ron Paul by comparison; beyond the danger of 'who' he is - is NO friend to Israel. So both Obama and Ron Paul dangerous in this regard; albeit 'one' more so. Mitt, OTHO; is pro-Capitalism and a 'friend' to Israel. We know that Sarah is unequivocally, committed to the Capitalist Ideal and committed as well, to Israel's best interests.

(Can grind my teeth over Scott Brown; but despite his RINO inclinations; he has saved us from by some measures; a worse fate; thus far; and think/hope he will serve our best interests when it comes to critical votes.)

At least, when it comes to Obama - and the devil and deep blue sea choices; we do know who the devil is. Which, depending on the final choice per Repub candidate in 2012; may - or may not - leave us with only a deep blue sea choice. We know at least, that if we need to; America can swim. And do think we absolutely must; if so challenged.
