Way to go to fortify relations with our reliable allies in the region, particularly with a key lynchpin like JAPAN.
The upshot in the original Japanese was that Japan was snubbed in D.C. for an individual "summit meeting" with Obama, while Obama on the other hand kowtowed and gave the Red Chinese the red carpet (literally) treatment.
Note, no "kowtow" to Prime Minister Hatoyama (Japan) that there was to Red Chinese President Hu Jin Tao. This I assure you was not lost on Tokyo (nor Beijing, Seoul, Pyongyang, Taipei, Moscow, Teheran, Damascus, Tel Aviv etc for that matter).
Can we and the Region stand three more years of this juvenile nonsense?

I don’t know about your circles, AIT, but my Japanese friends are coming to loathe Hatoyama every bit as much as FReepers loathe Obama.
It’s really kind of weird. Obama seems to go out of his way to dis traditional American allies — even in nations with leftist governments that you would think he would want to cozy up to.
Instead, he spends all his time trying to cozy up to the despots and thugs of the world, and gets bitch-slapped every time he does. It’s almost if he enjoys being humiliated.
