Her candidacy could cost the GOP a shot at getting rid of Harry Reid in November.

I hope she’s OK with that.

I’m not.

Is this the phony Tea Party that Reid created?

Seems the Tea Party group hasn't spent much time with this woman. She is Cukoo for Cocoa Puffs! The woman is not "right" in the head. I've had personal experience with her - - - *shakes head*

People in NV may not be able to understand what she is doing. Divide and conquer

We’ll just have to wait and see if Angle will be a sore loser or not.

100% agree. Harry Reid is Angle’s biggest supporter.

Here’s hoping she’s not another “tea party” dud like Debbie Medina was...

She is running in the GOP primary. How will she cost the GOP a shot at getting rid of Reid?

Divide and conquer? She is a Rep state assemblywoman running in the GOP primary. What’s the problem with that?

By refusing to support somebody who beats her in the Primary?

Sorry.

As I understood it, she was running as an Indepdendent.

if she is running in the primary, then it’s not so much of a worry. Lowden and Tarkanian will trash her.

As an aside, I originally thought the true Tea Party movement didn’t necessarily endorse anyone as much as the individuals in the movement would help support and elect the right candidate.

Some can argue it’s the same thing, but it’s not. This movement is an individual movement brought about to restore the country and seek out true conservative candidates. It’s supposed to happen the way it did in Massachusetts with Scott Brown.

Who are these “leaders” that are making these decisions?

I’ve seen way too much hijacking of this movement from people within the Tea Party and the GOP... we need to stop this before they discredit us any further...

Has she said that? Have her other GOP opponents said that? I think people must be confusing her efforts with the phony third party that was supposed to be made up of Tea Party members who have another candidate.

It would help if people read the article. It is quite clear who she is.

Sharron Angle (born 1949 in Klamath Falls, Oregon) is a four term Republican member of the Nevada Assembly representing the 26th district from 1999 to 2005, and is currently a Republican candidate for the United States Senate seat, currently held by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), in the 2010 Republican Primary. Angle is the author of Nevada’s Property Tax Reform Initiative (Prop. 13).

On August 15, 2006 Angle narrowly lost the primary for U.S. Congress in Nevada’s 2nd congressional district which was vacated by Rep. Jim Gibbons. Nevada Secretary of State Dean Heller received 24,781 votes to Angle’s 24,353. Gibbons’ wife Dawn, a former State Assemblywoman herself, finished with 17,328 votes.[1] On August 25, Angle called for a new primary election because of cases in Washoe County, where Angle was the strongest, where people allegedly could not initially vote because of workers who did not show up on election day.[2] On September 1, the Carson District Judge denied Angle’s appeal for a new election.

Angle has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nevada, Reno. Angle lives in Reno, Nevada. She has two children and ten grandchildren.

The Tea Party is not a hierarchical organization. There are many groups under the rubric of Tea party. Various Tea Party groups have endorsed candidates. Scott Brown, Hoffman, and others have received such endorsements. As a Tea Party member, I have no problem doing that especially if we can remove RINOs during the primary process. I am disappointed that the tea parties in AZ have refused to endorse a candidate in the Hayworth-McCain race.

Has she said that?

The time is not ripe for a knife in the back. Nobody wins anything when a candidate promises from the start that he/she is the only candidate they'll support. Ask Alan Keyes about this. Watch what she says if she loses the Primary, and don't take her silence today as a sign of what's coming.
