President Lech Kaczynski and his beloved wife Maria will rest tommorow in the Wawel Castle in Krakow - the final resting place of Polands medieval kings and national heroes - the heart of Poland - close to Jozef Pilsudski (the leader of pre-war Poland).
In the background - Pilsudski's tomb.
Excellent photos, very tasteful resting place. Eternal rest grant unto them, O LORD, and let light perpetual shine upon them.
What a sad, sad thing. But a wonderful show of love and respect.
Thank you, lizol, for all of your posts today.
And I think the pictures I’ve posted show it - at least in some part.
lizol, are you there in person?
I was in Warsaw last evening and night.
Spent about 6 hours there.
God bless the Polish people during this difficult time.
My mother’s parents came to the United States from Poland.
Both of my husband’s grandparents came to the United States from Poland.
The Poles are some of the most courageous, steadfast people in the world. They deserve some peace. May it be forthcoming.
Will you be hosting live thread the funeral for us?
What is “live thread”? I’ve never done it before.
You always post such wonderful pictures. Thank you very much Lizol.
He was a small man physically but a very large man in courage, determination, and love for his country. May he and his Maria rest in peace in this sanctuary of Polish history.
Thank you Lizol for your pictures.
