On Friday April 9, 2010, GOP official Allee Bautsch and her boyfriend Joe Brown attended a Republican dinner at Brennans restaurant in New Orleans. When they left this event they were followed from the restaurant by a group of five white men who hurled insults at them calling Allee a little blond bitch and calling Joe a f**king f*ggot. They brutally beat and stomped on the young Republican couple just blocks from the restaurant.
Allee Bautsch suffered a broken leg from the beatdown outside to the SRLC dinner at Brennans Restaurant in New Orleans. She had her leg operated on over the weekend and it will take her months to recover. Her boyfriend Joe Brown suffered a broken nose, a broken jaw, and a concussion. On Saturday, Allee Bautschs mother spoke out about the vicious attack. She joined Allees friend and said the attackers were leftist protesters. Yahoo reported:
Allee Bautschs mother, Della Berning, has now joined a friend of Bautschs in telling Yahoo! News that, contrary to what Brown initially told police, Bautsch and Brown do believe that the attackers were a group of political protesters who followed them after they left the event. Their recollection is not conclusive, of course, and they admit to having no knowledge of the attackers underlying motivations.
According to Berning, Bautsch and Brown are recovering from their injuries and the trauma of the attack, and so are not speaking directly to the media. However, the couple authorized her to come forward with their account of the attack. Berning told Yahoo! News that she reconfirmed with her daughter each detail of the account she offered via email and phone.
New Orleans, Louisiana police initially dismissed the savage attack on GOP official Allee Bautsch and her boyfriend Joe Brown in the French Quarter. They reported it as a medical call and did not even interview the couple about the brutal beating until Monday. NOLA.com reported:
When news of last weekends assault of Republican campaign fundraiser Allee Bautsch and her boyfriend broke on Monday, police logs detailing crimes and complaints reported in the French Quarter that night did not list the attack on the pair.
Thats because the April 9 incident was first labeled a medical call, which meant no police report needed to be written. Indeed, according to the initial report released Friday by New Orleans police, it wasnt until Monday that a detective was assigned to investigate the incident in which Bautsch broke her leg and her boyfriend, Joseph Brown, broke his jaw.
Monday was also the day news reports and blogs began chattering about the attack, sometimes laden with the juicy possibility the attackers were anti-Republican protesters.
The initial incident report does not resolve the question of whether Bautsch and Brown were attacked by protesters, who had picketed the restaurant they were in earlier that night.
But the sequence of the NOPDs response to an attack that left Bautsch with a broken leg and Brown with a fractured jaw and nose, raises questions about why the department didnt deal with the incident as an assault from the get-go. Subsequent police statements and reports about the incident note that officers did respond to the scene, calling an ambulance to take Bautsch and Brown to the hospital.
NOPD spokesman Bob Young said the explanation is simple: The responding officer didnt know the extent of the couples injuries. That officer knew the couple needed help and was told that Brown had been in a fight, but concentrated on getting them medical assistance, he said.
If the officer had known how badly they were hurt, the case would have been reclassified immediately as some kind of battery, Young said.
The Hayride added this on the politically motivated attack on the young Republican couple leaving a GOP dinner.
Most conservative websites and blogs are avoiding this topic like the plague. Why? Because they are afraid. Liberals scream racism without the slightest shred of evidence and the mainstream media scream with them, but conservatives are afraid to speak the truth even when faced with clear and convincing evidence. They are cowards.
This is not a court of law and the Iron Rail Gang isnt on trial (yet), but the conservative media have acted as though Iron Rail must be convicted beyond a reasonable doubt before they can say a word on the topic. Its no coincidence that the only major conservative media outlet to have accurately covered the story belongs to Andrew Breitbart, because he actually has some guts. The rest of the conservative media still seem to be afraid that the MSM is going to say something bad about them.
One more thing The anarchists and leftists outside the SLRC event that night had posted an ominous warning on their website before the GOP officials were attacked. The Hayride reported:
There was also an eight-page brochure the group put together that did not appear on the Facebook event page for the protest (since removed there were 209 people who had RSVPed for the event and from that roster we found Mauch and Dubinsky), and that brochure was much more ominous. It listed several Points of Unity, among them being:
- The SRLC is not welcome in NOLA without a fuss - Recognize healthcare as a basic human right - Oppose police oppression, the prison-industrial complex, and the dominant culture of militarism - Recognize the need for active resistance to confront all forms of oppression, respecting a diversity of tactics
The brochure also contained a map of the five hotels at which SRLC delegates were primarily staying, which is extremely disturbing.
If your goal is murdering lefist radical provocateurs, please find another venue, because otherwise you serve obama
his handlers want to enrage inflame and destroy citizen involvement and support for the Tea Party
I agree. The democrats desperately want to goad us into reacting.
It would be stupid to double down while the democrats own the casino.
I wonder if we have some provocateurs trolling this discussion?
They are providing irrationally threatening and violent comments, which will be used in msm stories about FR.
If I have a choice between filming myself getting beaten, or pulling my 9mm and preventing it, I know which I would choose.
My point is, carry both.
So lots of cameras would have defeated Hitler and Tojo? Often the cameras sent to the Mideast are used by the main press conduits to carry messages contrary to the interest of freedom. Seems like a naive strategy to me. I maintain that organized violence in the end wins the game.
His point is that liberals don’t hesitate to impugn our side — e.g. they cry racism at the drop of a hat, before the facts are in — while conservatives do hesitate even when the facts seem to be staring them in the face.
yep, so far there are no laws against open carry- of video cameras and cell phones!
To bad Allee and her friend had to suffer so badly, to show what we are up against, so preventive measures can be taken in the fuuture.
Use alternative means to violence (video)on these roaches and keep them in the shadows.
I’ve been reading all about this violence against conservatives in the Washington Post and the New York Times and it was quite a spread on it by Diane Sawyer at CBS, Brian Williams at NBC, Rachel Maddow and Olbermann at MSNBC and the incident was publicly condemned by Bill Clinton. Of course, I haven’t read or seen a single mention about any of it from any of these “news” sources; think of the hyesteria each of them would have shrieked had those targeted for five “men” on one man and one woman violence been a couple leaving a Demo dinner.
I am aware of all of that.
I am also aware that war is Hell.
Photograph them all you can, seriously, if they are going to break the law so blatantly, have them arrested. Have them reported on by the media.
Were they arrested? Were they reported on by the media? I’m just curious, I don’t know.
All I am saying is that, at some point, photographs may not be enough to defeat the enemy. I suspect that this is going to get much, much worse before it gets any better.
what does identifying and exposing 5 white punks have to do with defeating Hitler?
Exposure is legal steady and effective. Jason Levin comes to mind.
A thousand videos of a knife being shoved into your liver doesn’t stop that knife from being shoved into your liver. Those videos just provide a record of it.
Incidentally, you are the one who used the word murder, not me.
Furthermore, if any of the people who attacked the woman in the French Quarter ended up shot dead, I would describe that as “Justifiable Homicide” and not murder. Her life was clearly in danger, and it was put in jeopardy by left wing radical criminals.
Grow a pair.
If you start carrying guns to tea parties, you will find yourself and other belligerents on a battlefield between violent mostly male mobs, not at political rallies.
sure you may shot a punk and feel good about it.
then obama will rule for another 4 years while your ass rots in jail with a roomie named Darnell..
good luck with that
Principles don’t mean squat when you lose.
Someone please send this to Kathleen Parker. She’s been all over TV this morning giving aid and comfort to the Left. She’s totally playing in to the BS narrative that the Tea Party movement, Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachman are inspiring militia types and if and when something violent happens, it will be the result of Republican congress critters not getting us all in line.
sure, send her the entire discussion here, which will support her points about “right wing” violent threats
Depends upon whether you wish to record my death or the death of my attacker.
You want to take the moral high ground a take a knife in the liver go right ahead I don't care. Trust me, I won't feel a thing if someone sticks a knife in your liver. You're the one that's going to feel it, not me.
Bleeding to death because you want to prove your morally superior to everyone is down right stupid.
Well, that’s certainly an interesting twist.
