On the April 15th, 2010 broadcast of the O’Reilly Factor, you played a little too fast and loose with the truth when discussing the case of Lt. Col Terry Lakin. Lakin, whom we both recall refused orders to deploy to Afghanistan, cited lingering doubts over the constitutionality of Barack Obama’s presidency, and by extension, the legality of his orders to deploy.
Before we get started, a word of advice: You should really skip the “Humble Correspondent” bit, your ego is enormous and dwarfed only by Obama’s.
Your entire segment on Lakin was so laden with eye-rolls, snarky facial expressions and verbal sanctimony, your Body Language Expert, Tonya Reiman would have a field day dissecting it.
My principal beef with you is your oft-repeated claim that you single-handedly debunked the alleged myth that Barack Obama was not born in the United States by digging up two public notices in Hawaii papers announcing the August, 1961 birth of little Barry and that these notices prove beyond doubt that Obama was born in the United States.
You opined that Obama’s parents would have had to “fake Barack Obama’s birth, ‘cuz we’re gonna know he’s gonna be president” and that “Newspapers only print birth announcements when you call them and tell them ‘Hey, your baby’s born.’” Well, perhaps next time you get the urge to be so sanctimonious on air, you might check your facts first, for those statements expose your second-grade reasoning and feeble command of this issue.
Contrary to the narrow way in which you’ve framed this debate, there is not one, but several theories percolating about Barack Obama’s citizenship, or lack thereof, ranging from his being born in Kenya to his being born in the US to parents who were ineligible to confer natural-born status upon him...

The body-language bit is an annoying waste of time. It just gives them a license to speculate on what’s in the mind of their subject.
O’Reilly, IMO, plays both sides for his own advancement. I turn him off and refuse to watch. Bill is consumed with trying to figure out if the Tea Party Movement can stay angry through November. Americans don’t retreat from a fight that will determine their freedom.

BOR used to do the same thing with guests who didn't buy into the global warming propaganda. In fact, he was openly hostile to GW skeptics. But after "Climategate" and the increasing number of scientist-skeptics speaking their mind BOR changed his tune and became somewhat of a skeptic himself. ...but never acknowledged the change of position. His bloated ego wouldn't allow it.

He told his audience that he proved Obama was born in the USA because he had shown the audience a copy of the birth announcement out of the newspaper in Hawaii. Wow — that is REAL Proof; is it not?

Why does anyone even watch this clown? When you have to keep patting yourself on the back and taking credit for anything and everything ... well seems to me one is only trying to convince his own self that he is somebody. OR tries to act tough. We quit watching him ages and ages ago. Not worth our time.

Well-written article, and I see no reason for a Lietenant Colonel doctor on the promotion list to Colonel to try some ploy to get out of the military. First, he’s paid extremely well without the headache’s of civilian medicine. Second, he has already been overseas a lot, and military families know that “one more time” simply goes with the territory. Third, as a senior, promotable LTC he absolutely HAS to be so near his 20 year retirement mark (if not already over it), that it would be silly to pull a stunt like this just to get out. He could just file retirement paperwork, instead.
So, I do think Lakin believes Obama should prove his qualifications. So do I. He has yet to do so.
And the truth is that O’Reilly’s reliance on birth announcements from a Honolulu paper PROVE that O’Reilly has seen no legal documentation of Obama’s birth. Otherwise, Oreilly would have simply presented that legal documentation. Instead, he had to rely on 2 little blurbs in a newspaper.
Obama should come clean and release his birth info, and school info, and SAT info, and LSAT info, and all transcripts, and all memberships and associations.
All I’m really saying is that I want to see the facts. I don’t want to be told about the facts.

O’Reilly has now staked the survival of his show on the premise that Obama is legit.
His position has evolved from pre-election when he promised to tell us who Obama really is, then changed his mind, to the interview with Obama where he (O’Reilly) began to identify with Obama (working class upbringing and so on).
We are now at the point where O’Reilly is an active defender of Obama and will never treat the eligibility issue fairly.
When the birth certificate & other hidden Obozo info. eventually turns up, that will be the end of the O’Reilly Factor.
Best way to neutralize O’Reilly stop watching him and FOX, let his advertisers know you no longer will buy their products.
We can no longer rely on FOX for unbiased news anymore.
I predict a new 3rd party unknown network will rise from the ashes of all these idiots and will pick up the job as being the checkpoint for our media.

Those newspaper announcements are suspect in themselves. The announcement is in between two lines. On the entire page of the newspaper, the only thing in between to lines are advertisements. All the other birth announcements are just printed one on top of the other.

I just want to SEE the proof. And it’s just paperwork, so it’s really, really, incredibly easy to call the media in to see the paperwork and copy it.

Dear Mr. BOR. I read op/eds like this one that raise legitimate questions. There may be simple answers that support YOUR conclusion, but they are good, fundamental questions regardless. But in your mind I’m a “birther” simply because I recognize legitimate questions? No.
I am not a birther, Mr. BOR, but if the answers to these questions are answered in a negative manner in terms of Zero’s birth I will BECOME a birther. So, how about demonstrate a little intellectual honesty and attempt to find the answers to these question.

When this fraud is finally exposed, every dnc official that vouched for its’ authenticity should be procecuted for fraud and spend the next 20 years in prison.
They are afraid, all right. Imagine the consequences of finding out that the man who occupies the White House was indeed not born in the United States. The basic problem, of course, is that Obama is such an artful dodger. Whether or not he was born in the USA or not, he seems to be a foreigner.
Every dnc official and every rnc snake that kept his mouth shut and every media talking head that refused to acknowledge that an original has yet to be seen.
It’s stuff like that that makes be believe in concerted efforts to keep certain things out of the light.

This gives O’Reilly way more credit than he deserves. “Found on Internet” more accurately describes the process. Had O’Reilly actually been the first to unearth these bits of evidence, my hat would have been off to him for useful investigative reporting. Instead, he’s let everyone else do the hard work and cherry-picked the results to make “news.”
Had he actually rolled up his sleeves and done some real investigative journalism, he would appreciate much better just how questionable the authenticity of the on-line COLB really is and he might ponder more seriously exactly why Obama keeps ducking the simple and obvious resolution of this dispute by showing us the long-form BC.

Same here and I seldom watch him anymore. I was livid over his relying on the newspaper birth announcement and was going to write to him but this writer did a much better job of it.
Wonder if he’s caught on yet that yes - he is losing viewers!
