Fox News ^ | April 19, 2010

Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner said in an interview Sunday, when asked about the Tea Party protests, that the Obama administration is paying more attention to the deficit than the Bush administration did.

Tea Partiers, the Obama administration is on your side.

That's been the message from the White House over the past few days, as top officials dispute charges that Washington is on a spending binge and encourage conservative protesters to count their blessings.

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, when asked about the Tea Party protests, said in an interview Sunday that the Obama administration is paying more attention to deficit and spending concerns than the Bush administration did.

"We've just been through eight years where many people said deficits don't matter. We can pass huge tax cuts, pass huge new programs without paying for them. That debate has changed fundamentally," Geithner said on NBC's "Meet the Press."

The Obamaloon administration cannot be on a “side” because - as slime - they do not have sides.

They do have smell, though.

the Obama administration is paying more attention to the deficit than the Bush administration did.

I suppose massively increasing it is one form of "paying attention to it".

They know darn well that the Tea Party people don’t believe this. This is for consumption by the ignorant to make the Tea Party look unreasonable.

Even if you ignore the fact that these are Obama's numbers and have already been shown to understate the deficit, it's quite clear that Obama is by far the least responsible person to occupy our White House. Ever.

We've just been through eight years where many people said deficits don't matter.

Lying snake.

The Bush administration came closer and closer to narrowing the deficit. If it weren't for the Dem congress which was elected in '06 we wouldn't have had the severe downturn which launched the TARP.

TARP has now already been largely repaid. Yet the deficits are now much huger than at any point during the Bush administration.

These people are pure scum.

I just really hate it when the numbers are grouped by administration. The Congress holds the pursestrings. The President’s involved per proposed budgets, etc., to be sure, but the buck stops with Congress.

I guess technically that is true. More then tripling it in a single year could be considered as "paying more attention" to it.

If the administration were truly on our side, they’d do the right thing and all resign their posts.

“We've just been through eight years where many people said deficits don't matter. We can pass huge tax cuts, pass huge new programs without paying for them. That debate has changed fundamentally,”

TAX CUTS ARE NOT BUDGET CUTS YOU F'IN MORONS! Lowering taxes INCREASES revenue to the treasury through economic stimulus (Bush's tax cut did that very thing). When are they going to stop this ridiculous lie?

On the Tax Day Tea Party Rally in Grand Prairie Texas, I took video camera in hand and interviewed attendees. I did this knowing it would counter the media misrepresentaion of the Tea Partiers.

PLEASE FORWARD these links to anyone who has been lied to by the media and politicians about the Tea Party Movement, which of course is everybody.
