Carrying loaded pistols and unloaded rifles, dozens of gun-rights activists got as close as they could Monday to the nation's capital while still bearing arms and delivered what they said was a simple message: Don't tread on me.
Hundreds of like-minded but unarmed counterparts carried out a separate rally in the nation's capital.
The gun-carrying protesters in Virginia rallied on national park land, which is legal thanks to a new law signed by President Barack Obama that allows guns in national parks. Organizers said it's the first armed rally in a national park since the law passed.(continued)

Oh, the libbies are going to wet their panties over this one.
ASS press indeed.
Ammoless weapons is not being “armed”.
Stupid and mistimed. Ammunition for the “Tea Partiers are Nuts” crowd, especially on the anniversary of the Okla City
A buddy of mine was there today.
Actually, anniversary of “The Shot Heard ‘Round The World.”
Any pics yet? Nothing on Western Rifle Shooters yet.
Oh, so OKC is just the anniv of OKC? Lexington and Concord ring a bell? Waco?
You play into the libtard’s hands when you adopt their language of what is allowed and polite, or not.
Kerensky was oh-so-polite in the Russian Duma in 1917. Parliamentary procedure to the T. Look where his politeness got him.
Good enough, then.....a right not exercised isn’t a right. I’m not advocating violence, but it is not out of the realm of possibility that this government will drop all pretext of pseudo democratic/republic stewardship of the peoples’ business and get down to brass tacks - subjugation, is what they really intend...
Who are you planning to shoot?
**Carrying loaded pistols and unloaded rifles,**
Someone at the first TeaParty in DC Carried a Sign.. “We’re Here UNARMED ... THIS TIME”
I’m just sick and tired of the quote from the Liberal WOMAN(probably WHITE) Proclaiming .that we Don’t NEED to be carrying that close ..yada yada yada.
IF DC keeps it up..
Well, if 0dumbo thinks it’s okay to be armed in a National Park, who am I to complain?
WRONG. Perfectly timed. This is the anniversary of Lexington and Concord. This government needs to remember, as we showed Britian, that We the People will NOT be disarmed. You do realize that "The British are coming! The British are coming!" was about the British coming to take the colonists' arms, right?
Consider that it's also the anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising, the election of Pope Benedict XVI, the explosion of the No. 2 gun turret on the USS Iowa, the sentencing of Charles Manson, and the day that Lincoln ordered the blockade of Confederate ports.
When we let the left make the rules, they always win. They can't have April 19th. Patriots won't let them have it.
How is posing with a gun going to help throw Dems out of office? Most normal people think this is nutcase behavior.
A few fringe nutcases aren’t going to influence anyone.
You have no sense of history...
Actually, the Lexingtonians and Concordians still considered themselves British subjects at the time. They wouldn't have said, "The British are coming."
More likely, "The lobsta backs are coming!"
Other than that, your point is right on.
Oh, my.This will give the Brady Bunch the vapors.
That's why we're not taking you seriously.
au contraire. if you want to draw parallels to 1775, carry
flintlocks and wear wigs.
such a hurt to my feelings.
You have a case of reflex PC.
And if you want to exercise your free speech rights you need to find a hand-cranked printing press?
Yes, I suspected that you had a surfeit of them. Most liberals do.
Only liberals and left wing Democrats, like you, only think that this is a nut case behavior. Just think how many people in the US that are really armed? I will give it swag,(scientific wild ass guess) say 180-200 million or better. Can you argue with that?
Will someone enlighten me. What law did Barack Hussein Obama sign that granted a “right to be armed” in national parks. I understood that it was at the urging of Senators and Congresspersons that the Secretary of the Interior decided to update the regulations. Following public input and hearings on the regulations; the department instituted the updated regulations. I recall no new law. Please help me out on this.
If people OPENLY showing that they are willing and able to use force to halt tyranny is going to be seen by leftscum as a threat of violence, then the people doing so aren’t the problem...
I bet liberals could come with an excuse every day of the week for why conservatives shouldn’t do something. Go hide under your bed.
So no one can tell me who is the likely target of these guns? Is it just general intimidation?
They sure look like they’d like to shoot someone.
They aren’t even very pretty guns.
Maybe you would prefer this:
Sure I’ll argue. I’m not a liberal or a dem and I own a sh!tload of guns.
Don’t be such a kneejerk.
I cannot see the upside of parading hardware like that in public, and this doesn’t make me a liberal or any other
name the thought-impaired in thios forum might grasp onto
in lieu of a real counter argument.
Is Rahm Emanuel lurking on FR again??????
No, no one is going to make threats on this board. Sorry little troll.
And it's not intimidation either. It's an exercise of a sovereign, Constitutionally-protected right.
They sure look like theyd like to shoot someone.
Wow, your ignorance and idiocy really does know no bounds, does it?
They arent even very pretty guns.
Well, I've never been a big fan of Stoner's design either but then, I know a thing or two about rifles.
But just for you...
still waiting for a cogent argument from you. apparently name calling is all you are capable of.
I respectfully disagree:
1) There is now way to ever win approval of the left.
2) It is our right.
3) Sic Semper tyrannis is the VA state Motto - as Obama said, ‘words should have meaning”
“The power under the constitution will always be in the people. It is entrusted for certain defined purposes, and for a certain limited period, to representatives of their own choosing; and whenever it is executed contrary to their interests, or not agreeable to their wishes, their servants can, and undoubtably will, be recalled.” - Geo Washington
Please note George Washington did not call the people his “Subjects”.
Then you aren't gifted with much vision either.
...and this doesnt make me a liberal or any other name the thought-impaired in thios forum might grasp onto in lieu of a real counter argument.
Actually, it does. It just makes you an allegedly gun-owning liberal.
Its not the left we are trying to win, its the vast middle ground with all the soccer moms and squeamish middle class.
Without them there is no victory for us. I’m not saying its
wrong to parade with guns, just ill-advised. Most people don’t associate guns with anything except killing. I’m
just saying - its not going to win a lot of unconvinced to our side.
Why? You haven't made one.
All you've done is:
A. Attempt to bait posters into making threats
B. Explain your lack of understanding about why the people at the rally are doing what they're doing.
Neither one of which is an argument.
So, I've ridiculed your (A) comments. And as to (B) I have no inclination to explain why an exercise of a right is something that needs further elucidation.
You feel that a lawful exercise of a sovereign right is a bad thing. Well that's just too bad. No one is interested in how you or any other libtard feels about it.
Please forward these links to anyone who has been lied to by the media and politicians about the Tea Party Movement.

The True Face of the Tea Partiers
I think it's clear which side you are on.
You mean the libbies who passed this bill in Congress or the Lib in the White House who signed the bill? Shouldn’t we be thanking them for that?
On a National Level, we won. On a local level, we lost.
Its evident that you are unable to articulate a point without resorting to puerile namecalling.
Right on the money.
