"But if the choice is between actively enabling her views by keeping silent or fighting to keep America from turning into a nation of useful idiots, I’ll choose the latter."

I have the same situation with a life long friend for over 30 years. Everything is the 'greedy fat cats', 'can't earn a living wage", 'Bush's fault', 'corrupt republicans', and 'hypocrite christians'. I enable it by staying quiet. For this person, it is easier to blame those evil/greedy/un-compassionate conservative people like me then to look at the self, created, unholy mess in their own life.

and fortunate, indeed!

I remember thinking how strained relationships had started to become during the 2004 elections....it is sooooo much worse now.

LOL....I really think these two are naive - they are local biz owners (home building)....and one of them said I shouldn’t be “sarcastic” in my emails...LOL...I told them...I’ll be sarcastic if I want to, it’s my personality! In my last email I told them I’m trying to concentrate on the present...hopefully that will shut them up. Oh, and I also told them in an earlier email...”Keep paying those taxes.”

There are people that want control over others, either through active participation in the Leviathan Government, or by being wards and beneficiaries of that government.

And there are those of us that don’t want to be controlled by others, nor have to foot the bill for those feeding from the trough our tax monies fill.

It is an irreconcilable difference.

We have one, maybe 2 more elections left in this country before it is too late to stop, and Pam and her handlers in the bloated fascist state win total control over all of us.

Or we go to war.

Everyone who ever lent Pam money is an enabler. As is the welfare system that has allowed her to leech off of society her whole life, despite having more college education than most of the population.

There should be a time limit on how long able bodied people can stay on welfare. They should also be required to do community works as a condition of receiving that welfare check (trash on the side of the road needs to be picked up!) And they should be required to pay an income tax on welfare benefits.

People who are physically or mentally incapacitated, of course, should be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Many handicapped people are capable of working.

Willing to defend to the death leftists opinions (that are formed by others) and dismissing out of hand any facts to the contrary.

They have lost their souls. They follow the heard. I view them as Zombies.

I thought I had liberal friends, then BO was elected and their masks slipped. They are the totalitarian party members next door; an existential threat to all I hold dear.

Now I am liberal “friend” free.

Never felt better.

“The ‘have nots’ and victims are consolidating their premier position at the public trough, forcing others to pay for their ever evolving version of social justice.”

*********************

I think we should no longer use the term ‘have nots’.

‘Work nots’ is far more accurate.

Your friend sounds like a truly detestable person. It sounds as though your friendship with her has already been compromised by her.

My advice is to leave her alone. She doesn’t sound as though she is worth the aggravation.

She has adopted the proven tactic of continually forcing me to proving a negative.

Like a lot of liberal beliefs, if they can't be conclusively proven untrue on the spot to a liberal, then they must be true.

I know this feeling between friends. I think whatever sustains the leftist`s life is, in someways, good. People need to believe in something. There is nothing Nancy can do but find common ground on another topic. Nancy is smart enough to know that Pam will not change her political stripes, that it is like talking about two different religions. So if there is something to value in Pam then value that and stay clear of politics.

They can try. There will always be those of us who refuse to be controlled, regardless of what the lawmakers may do.

I do not have any liberal friends. It is impossible to discuss anything with them as they have zero logic, ignore facts, have no common sense, base everything on feelings, and are suicidal.
The sooner conservatives realize that libs are as described above and immune to reason, the sooner we will get on with the job at hand.

I would be very interested in how you “take them on”.

My own experiences in that direction are decidedly a mixed bag. The “liberals/progressives” have this mental switch or shield that instantly takes logic and facts and erases them as soon as the words enter their ears. Extremely frustrating and nowadays I just don’t even bother. It’s better for my blood pressure.

"I think one man is just as good as another so long as he's not a n*gger or a Chinaman. Uncle Will says that the Lord made a White man from dust, a n*gger from mud, then He threw up what was left and it came down a Chinaman. He does hate Chinese and Japs. So do I. It is race prejudice, I guess. But I am strongly of the opinion Negroes ought to be in Africa, Yellow men in Asia and White men in Europe and America." – Democrat President Harry Truman (1911 in a letter to his future wife Bess)

"Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds." –Democrat Senator Robert Byrd

"You cannot go to a 7-11 or Dunkin Donuts unless you have a slight Indian Accent." – Democrat Senator Joe Biden

"I'll have those n*ggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years." – Democrat President Lyndon B. Johnson

"You'd find these potentates from down in Africa, you know, rather than eating each other, they'd just come up and get a good square meal in Geneva." – Democrat Senator Fritz Hollings

"Republicans bring out Colin Powell and J.C. Watts because they have no program, no policy. They have no love and no joy. They'd rather take pictures with black children than feed them." – Democrat Donna Brazile, Al Gore's Campaign Manager for the 2000 election

"He's married to a white woman. He wants to be white. He wants a colorless society. He has no ethnic pride. He doesn't want to be black." – Democrat California State Senator Diane Watson's on Ward Connerly's interracial marriage

"I am a former kleagle of the Ku Klux Klan in Raleigh County and the adjoining counties of the state .... The Klan is needed today as never before and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia .... It is necessary that the order be promoted immediately and in every state of the Union. Will you please inform me as to the possibilities of rebuilding the Klan in the Realm of W. Va .... I hope that you will find it convenient to answer my letter in regards to future possibilities." – Democrat Senator Robert Byrd

"These laws [segregation] are still constitutional and I promise you that until they are removed from the ordinance books of Birmingham and the statute books of Alabama, they will be enforced in Birmingham to the utmost of my ability and by all lawful means." -- Democrat Bull Connor (1957), Commissioner of Public Safety for Birmingham, Alabama

(On New York) "Kiketown." – Democrat President Harry Truman

"There’s some people who’ve gone over the state and said, ‘Well, George Wallace has talked too strong about segregation.’ Now let me ask you this: how in the name of common sense can you be too strong about it? You’re either for it or you’re against it. There’s not any middle ground as I know of." -- Democratic Alabama Governor George Wallace (1959)

"You fucking Jew bastard!!" – Democrat Senator Hillary Clinton

"The Medicaid system must have been developed by a white male slave owner. It pays for you to be pregnant and have a baby, but it won't pay for much family planning." – Democrat Jocelyn Elders

The white man is our mortal enemy, and we cannot accept him. I will fight to see that vicious beast go down into the lake of fire prepared for him from the beginning, that he never rise again to give any innocent black man, woman or child the hell that he has delighted in pouring on us for 400 years." – Democrat Louis Farrakhan who campaigned for Democrat congresswoman Cynthia McKinney in 2002

"We have lost to the white racist press and to the racist reactionary Jewish misleaders." -- Democrat Rep. Gus Savage after his defeat 1992

“Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of. So that Roe was going to be then set up for Medicaid funding for abortion.” – Democrat appointee to Supreme Court Ruth Bader Ginsburg

"These Negroes, they're getting pretty uppity these days and that's a problem for us since they've got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we've got to do something about this, we've got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference. For if we don't move at all, then their allies will line up against us and there'll be no way of stopping them, we'll lose the filibuster and there'll be no way of putting a brake on all sorts of wild legislation. It'll be Reconstruction all over again." –Democrat President Lyndon B. Johnson

"I do not think it is an exaggeration at all to say to my friend from West Virginia [Sen. Robert C. Byrd, a former Ku Klux Klan recruiter] that he would have been a great senator at any moment. . . . He would have been right during the great conflict of civil war in this nation." –Democrat Senator Christopher Dodd (D., Conn.), 2004

"I am a former Kleagle [recruiter] of the Ku Klux Klan in Raleigh County. The Klan is needed today as never before and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia. It is necessary that the order be promoted immediately and in every state in the union." -- Democrat Senator Robert Byrd
