I am Catholic. IMHO Cardinal Roger Mahoney is a Communist sympathizer at best, and therefore is a questionable Catholic - IMHO and wtih all due reverence to the office that he holds!

I think that the Catholic Church should deal with more pressing matters that involve them- which is priests who are pedophiles.
When they deal with that problem, then maybe I will listen to their opinions on other issues.
I am Catholic - lapsed. One reason why I do not attend church is a schoolmate ( who attended the same church as I did)was molested by a priest. Not just a priest- but a Bishop. It was hushed up.
This is one of those issues where the Catholic Church is not on our side, another being the health care plan (except for the abortion issue).
The modern Catholic Church is still way to interested in government being the charity for the world.
So when will the good cardinal be inviting a few of these poor folks into his digs?
