The French Quarter Fracas: Jindal Speaks, Says Nothing
The Hayride ^ | April 19, 2010 | Scott McKay

Posted on 04/20/2010 3:15:57 AM PDT by abb

UPDATE, 10:55 p.m.: Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Allee Bautsch’s boss, gave WWL-TV in New Orleans a no-comment comment this evening…

Gov. Bobby Jindal said Monday he isn’t going to comment further on the investigation into the recent French Quarter attack that left his chief fundraiser and her boyfriend injured.

Allee Bautsch, 25, suffered a broken leg, and her boyfriend suffered a broken jaw, nose and concussion.

When asked about the incident on Monday, Jindal said the couple is now recovering at home after receiving “serious” injuries.

“We’re going to refrain from commenting on it. We certainly keep her in our thoughts and prayers,” Jindal said. “I know she appreciates many people asked about her. She is home, which is a positive step.”

The rest of the WWL report is an embarrassing rehash of the dinosaur media whitewash we’ve grown very irritated with while this case has stagnated. We could say more about the asinine treatment this case has received by the recently-exposed cowards and frauds in the state’s newspapers and other “traditional” media, but our readers already know our position on the subject.

Meanwhile, Jindal spokesman Kyle Plotkin gave us this statement in response to a question about the potential role of the Louisiana State Police in this investigation:

“State Police has been in regular communications with the NOPD to get updates on the investigation. While the NOPD is the lead investigative agency, State Police detectives are supporting the NOPD’s efforts.”

The latest. I'm also reliably informed that McKay has had extensive discussions with Bautsch's mother.

Translation: He knows the inside scoop, but we already knew that.

Is he afraid of causing a problem with any prosecution attempts? Seems strange that he hasn’t said anything.

My guess is they (the ruling elites) are seriously worried about escalating violence as they break down our country and rebuild it into utopia.

The thinking is he wants it to go away, lest it further damage the reputation of New Orelans and the French Quarter.

Have you heard about this in the press? Certainly not. That’s because these two were Republicans beaten by protesters, it is thought. Gateway Pundit is covering this situation with links around the web. This is the look of pain and terror that leftist thugs impose on those who disagree with them.

The Left is shouting about how violent we are. The media is calling us terrorists. Meanwhile, Tea Party events are held with no arrests at all, because we are peaceable, law-abiding citizens. Then -- WHAM -- a Republican woman and her date are attacked, each receiving broken bones -- and the Republican establishment says nothing about it.

Something sure is funny.

Oh, it’s not a crusade. But it is an effort to inform how Jindal’s abandoned his employee and failed to speak out on how the conservatives bear the brunt of the violence while the State-Run Media claims it’s the Tea Party that is violent.

The best analysis I've seen is that is some sort of political "battered wife syndrome."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battered_person_syndrome

In lay terms, this is a reference to any person who, because of constant and severe domestic violence usually involving physical abuse by a partner, becomes depressed and unable to take any independent action that would allow him or her to escape the abuse. The condition explains why abused people often do not seek assistance from others, fight their abuser, or leave the abusive situation. Sufferers have low self-esteem, and often believe that the abuse is their fault. Such persons usually refuse to press criminal charges against their abuser, and refuse all offers of help, often becoming aggressive or abusive to others who attempt to offer assistance. Often sufferers will even seek out their very abuser for comfort shortly after an incident of abuse.

I think we became free from George III because Americans like George Washington refused to play the "battered wife" role.

The Republican establishment today is unwilling to stake their lives, their fortunes or their sacred honor. Instead, then bend over and say, "Please sir, may I have another?"

I don’t know what’s so difficult about saying: “This is a terrible act of mindless violence, which has no place in politics. We hope and pray for Allee’s rapid recovery. The perpetrators must be found and brought to justice.” That really doesn’t take much spine.

We’ll give him the benefit of the doubt since the investigation is still underway.

If, however, he remains silent after the investigation, that will be a pretty good signal that he does not have the intestinal fortitude required to fight these tyrants until utter and unequivocal defeat.

We can abide nothing less than a complete conqueror at this critical point in the history of our Republic.

I’m more dissapointed in the conservatives in the media (especially Michelle Malkin) who didn’t want to admit the obvious about this attack in fear of being considered fringe by their pails in the MSM.

The purpose of this beating and maining was to send a message. The “talking heads” as you refer to them got the message. They do not want to be the next one.

We should have gotten the message also, even though it is simple, but I don’t think we have. the message [to wit] is:1. We are up against an enemy that is evil, ruthless, and devoid of decency. 2. We are on our own, if we are not willing to protect ourselves, no one else is going to, and consequencely we will either be killed or seriously and permanently injured. 3. Smiles, kind and sort words will not stop them.

During the late 1920s and early 1030s in Germany the National Socialists and Communists fought pitched battles in the streets. Those who have wisdom can draw their own conclusions. But I will opine this: When obama is ready to strike, he will. Regardless of what we do or do not do he plans to implement his agenda which is take total control of the United States.

Until the last moment, the Jews thought that could co-exist with Hitler. There were many Jewish veterans that served in the German Army during WWI. They though it would carry some weight with the National Socialists. It did not.

a bunch of cowards who would rather shut up and say nothing even when attacks verbally or physically .

Just look at the MSM and how they attack the right. Does the GOP say anything on the air? NO
The GOP anmd even many in talk radio will not even discuss social issues such as homosexuals and theia genda, Beck wont after all the Czars but one, the homosexuals who teaches fisting.
The rats attack the right and does the GOP say anything ? NO
Is it any frigging wonder why the GOP does not gain traction much

The women like Bachmann have more balls than most of the GOP and Jindal can forget my vote if he can’t stand up about this

On target. There is still a lot we do not know about where this incident really intended to lead us. That the higher ups are trying to pour cold water on it should be a chilling wake-up call to all of us who want elections in November as our peaceful means of turning the tide. Someone is making a concerted effort to light a match we do not want lit at this time. It's THEM.

Hate it when I have gone up to Boston or NY and the cowards flip a finger but would never do it to your face.

One guy did it to me ion Boston and he got stuck at the next lights so I got out and tapped on his window anmd asked him to put the window down.
He would not so I told him to get out and now give me the finger in front of me.
He wouldn’t and ran the red light

nothing but cowards who either hide behind the law or know they can get away quickly but are quick to shout their mouth off.

If today's Republicans had been around at the time of the rebellion against the British, they would have all been sitting in a lawyer's office working on their statements of “concern” about the possible violence and a strongly worded letter to King George.

Jindal is a coward and a wimp. He had a chance to stand up and deplore this kind of stuff and strongly defend his subordinate, but he's probably in a lawyer's office working on his strongly worded letter.

NOPD Flatfoot Asleep at the Switch
04/20/2010 by Walter Abbott

New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) Nick Gernin has yet to follow up with one of the most important lead so far in the brutal assault of Allee Bautsch and Joe Brown – preliminary identification of one of the perps. Gernin, of the NOPD’s Eighth District was assigned to investigate the crime.

Yesterday, Scott McKay, editor and publisher of The Hayride, emailed to Bautsch some photos of the mob of protesters who before the assault had been protesting a GOP fundraiser at a French Quarter restaurant.

Bautsch made a preliminary ID of her assailant. McKay immediately tried to contact the detective to inform him of this important piece of evidence.

As of 8:00 AM today, Gernin had made no effort to return McKay’s phone call.

McKay posted on his news blog thus:

The picture at left, of which we now have several shots, is of an individual who, if he isn’t the prime suspect in the beating of Allee Bautsch and Joe Brown, sure ought to be. Bautsch told me via e-mail this morning that the suspect she and Joe Brown described to the police “looked exactly like that, and so did the rest of them (with different color hair).” She took pains to say that she can’t make a positive identification of this man as one of her attackers, but he fits the description they gave to the New Orleans police. This is someone who needs to be questioned about the attack; there are two YouTube videos still available on which he appears.

We are astonished at this lack of police interest in this case. We there fore ask again this question:

Is NOPD Fit to Investigate French Qtr Assault?

Lincoln Parish News Online will continue to report on this story.

No, under U.S. law “civil rights” does not apply to Caucasians, only “disadvantaged GROUPs.” Hubert H. Humphrey once said that he would eat his hat if the civil rights laws were interpreted that way, but they are, and he never ate his hat. MN didn’t require him too.
