I love my dog, too. He's a dog. He is always ready to go, and ready to protect. He's a dog. My kids can make up their own minds. He's a dog and has no choices at all!

My dog eats better than most people on this board! He sleeps on a $3000 Beautyrest kingsize, and gets into my leather Barcolounger whenever he stays home. But, he will never go there when I'm home! He knows it's mine. He's the dog.

I view the world a little different as a Christian. I accept God's Word and His judgment.

I don't want to see people die for abusing a dog. I do agree that we need to punish them, but not as if they abused a person.

It isn't the same, no matter how much you emote!

You know, I really don't care what your dog eats (as long as you're not starving him the way this dog was.) And as long as he's not freezing or sweltering, I don't care if he has the mattress or the doggie pillow.

But if you have not recognized in him an indefatigable loyalty that very few (if any) humans possess, then I question whether you really understand the nature of your beast.
