"But, God gave us the animals for our use (or abuse). He is still the only Judge, to me! I wish people could understand it better. God probably killed animals for their skins... or did they just appear?"

Geez, what the HELL sort of a "God" do you speak of here, who would condone torture? Giving man reign over the animals meant they were to be utilized for food and clothing, not tortured. If you can't see the difference between the two then you need some serious help.

Yeah, ace, you should because most people have neither the time nor the inclination to check the posting history of a tower of intellect like yourself.

I couldn't do it because just reading the one I responded to put me in a state of extreme horse shit overload.

“Yeah, ace, you should because most people have neither the time nor the inclination to check the posting history of a tower of intellect like yourself.”

Ace is my dad’s nickname.
Runt is mine.
I suppose I should grieve for those who have not partaken fully of my rare brilliance.
Alas, ‘tis their loss.

“I couldn’t do it because just reading the one I responded to put me in a state of extreme horse shit overload.”

My, my.
We ~are~ “the bit over-reactive one”, aren’t we?

The dog was reportedly ABANDONED, not TORTURED. Your FEELINGS don't change the nature of God. Man (and woman) is His greatest creation. All else is for our pleasure... and His. How do you feel about slaying goats and sacrifice?

My God is the same one who killed firstborn children of Egypt! He's the same one that sent a fire storm on Sodom and Gomorrah. He's the one who sacrificed Himself for me and you.

Any questions about how He feels about the animals? He counts feathers! Check the Scriptures, not your emotions.

http://debatepedia.idebate.org/en/index.php/Argument:_%22Dominion%22_makes_humans_stewards%3B_no_right_to_harm/exploit_animals

The sacrificial slaying of animals for God was merely a foreshadowing of the propitiatory act of Christ being slain for us.
The object lesson was that the blood of animals cannot cover the sins of humans.

Everybody knows that.

I doubt He was very happy about all that bloodshed [in fact, I do believe He mentioned his displeasure several times] *but* it was necessary until the Perfect Sacrifice came.

Not everyone knows things, FRiend. Your assumptions do not become fact. He does not evoke any claims for animal safety. He does talk repeatedly about slaying them. He hates the killing of children, as it reads here.

Deut 12: 29 The LORD your God will cut off before you the nations you are about to invade and dispossess. But when you have driven them out and settled in their land, 30 and after they have been destroyed before you, be careful not to be ensnared by inquiring about their gods, saying, "How do these nations serve their gods? We will do the same." 31 You must not worship the LORD your God in their way, because in worshiping their gods, they do all kinds of detestable things the LORD hates. They even burn their sons and daughters in the fire as sacrifices to their gods.

Isaiah 1:11

“The multitude of your sacrifices; what are they to me?” says the LORD.
“I have more than enough of burnt offerings, of rams and the fat of fattened animals; I have no pleasure in the blood of bulls and lambs and goats.

It appears to me that God had quite a lot to say about animals and their treatment.

Exodus 23:12 (King James Version)

Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.

Deuteronomy 5:14 (King James Version)

But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.

Deuteronomy 22:6-7 (King James Version)

If a bird’s nest chance to be before thee in the way in any tree, or on the ground, whether they be young ones, or eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young:

But thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days.

Psalm 36:6 (King James Version)

Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.

Psalm 147:9 (King James Version)

He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.

Psalm 148:7-10 (King James Version)

7 Praise the LORD from the earth, ye dragons, and all deeps:

8 Fire, and hail; snow, and vapours; stormy wind fulfilling his word:

9 Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:

10 Beasts, and all cattle; creeping things, and flying fowl:

Proverbs 12:10 (King James Version)

10 A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.

Isaiah 11:6-9 (King James Version)

6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.

7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.

8 And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den.

9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

Matthew 6:26 (King James Version)

26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

Luke 12:24 (King James Version)

24 Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?

Luke 12:6-7 (King James Version)

6 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?

7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Matthew 12:11-12 (King James Version)

11 And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?

12 How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.

1 Corinthians 9:9 (King James Version)

9 For it is written in the law of Moses, thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?

What puzzles me is why, on animal abuse thread, you are doggedly determined to keep injecting the abortion issue?

If that’s your crusade, it’s a good one but it’s off topic in this particular thread.

Let me get this straight. Starving an animal is NOT a form of torture? And yu actually believe the horseshit you post about animals being put here “for our pleasure”? Our PLEASURE, as in do anything we like with them including but not limited to the actions of moral degenerates who burn them, maim them, dismember them or place them in a microwave to see what happens?

How do I feel about slaying goats as a sacrifice? It it is religious then it violates my GOD’s law. Where does it say Christ called for or even condoned this sort of sacrifice?

Call your therapist immediately, pal, you need some serious help.

"The premature interjector doth protest too much, methinks."

And I'm not interested in your inserting yourself into my sex life. The only thing premature about me was the extraordinary intelligence level being reached by me at such an early stage of my development.

I am that rare combination of truly blazing good looks and a matching galactic intelligence to match.
