Dear FRiends,
It is with a very heavy heart that I am reporting the following news...
MarySecretary passed away on March 28, 2010.
There was an announcement on her Facebook account page from one of her close friends, but I did not see it until today as there is a different link to hit in order to see her friends' posts.
Please pray for her husband, her children and her grandchildren.
I wanted to post a beautiful thread -- as beautiful as Mary, but no thread would be able to do her justice no matter how long I worked on it, so I'll just say what's in my heart right now...
Mary was truly a very special, loving, kind, and faith-filled woman who was never without a kind word, or gentle reminder for friends in need.
I will never forget Mary, and I know none of us here at FR that were fortunate enough to know here will either. I never would have made it through the last year without her kindness and friendship to me...
I love you Mary, and will miss you something terrible.

RIP, one of my favorite all-time freepers. Sometimes you can tell how nice a person is throught their posts, and MarySecretary was one of those people.

I remember her from way back. I wish her family well. She was a part of this family too and will be missed by all who knew or had the good fortune of chatting with her.
Oh no! I am speechless....
What a loss.
While we had our differences over these many years, I always enjoyed sparring with her.
May God rest her soul.
We will meet face to face someday Mary, in the place He prepared.

I am so sorry to hear this news! The last I’d heard was a prayer list for her for an infection, but it didn’t sound like she was on her death bed or anything!! :*(
Prayers going up for her family, and friends IRL, and those here in cyberspace. I’m relieved that she is with Jesus and no longer suffers, but I grieve for those who loved her and wanted her to be around for a lot longer time than this.

You’re welcome... I’m not sure what the family needs beyond prayer, but I will try to contact her friend, or one of her sons tomorrow and find out. I’ll also try to locate her obituary to see if there were any instructions regarding flowers/donations or that sort of thing. I’m sorry I don’t have more information right now...

Though I knew Mary only briefly she had the “Mary Way” of reaching through the keyboard to touch the many here on FR...I was not exempt...I will miss her.
May the love of the Christ she served and loved well... comfort and keep her family in the hours and weeks ahead.

How terribly sad for all of us who will miss her dearly. It is a great comfort to know that she’s has gone to be with the Lord. May God grant peace and comfort to her family.

I’d actually expected her graduation much before this. Had actually said all I’d want to have said to someone before their graduation as gently and supportively as I could without being overly blunt. And, said something to the effect that she’d better not go without taking me with her or some such. She responded well.

I know one thing.
In the unlikely event that the Roman Catholics et al are right about graduated saint’s praying for us remaining—Mary would be likely to be doing that task up right, intensely and relentlessly!—without the least need of anyone asking her to!
Mostly, I think she’s kicking up her heels and enjoying Christ, Father and Spirit’s more intense Presence uproariously—as well as all of Heaven. Gads what fun she must be having without a flawed body to drag around.

I’m sure the funeral is well done and long over.
FaceBook is likely the only route we have to say anything to her family—if any of them bother with that, at all.
She was happy to keep FR somewhat detached from her family. She felt free-er hereon that way. Didn’t want to upset her family with her strident views hereon.
