Note to Democrats: Posing with a gun just to woo a certain voting demographic is not always prudent. Posing with a gun when your rival's motto is "Send a Warrior to Congress" is, uh, really not prudent. Indeed, former U.S. Marine and Republican Jesse Kelly, who led a combat platoon in Iraq and is now running for Congress in Arizona, has spotted wishful fakery on the campaign trail.....

Giffords is the “Blue Dog” dem (she voted for Cap & Tax, Obamacare, Tarp, Stimulus, and with Pelosi 91% of the time)”
That’s not a blue dog...it’s a cur...a barking dog that “won’t shut up”.
They just don’t get it. It’s not the gun, it’s the person holding it that gets the vote.
funny...that picture seems to have disappeared from the net...
Oh, dear. Somebody better let her know that an AK-47 is likely to conjure up the wrong sort of mental image...on second thought, maybe it’s the right one...
Down with all “blue dogs”. If she really wanted to show her 2nd amendment bonifides, she would be pictured at gun shows and gun stores where there are a plethora of 2nd amendment tools. I don’t care how many guns you own or are pictured with. I care what you think about the availibility of arms to be owned and carried.

SnakeDoc
They just think we’re stupid.

SnakeDoc
I don’t think she has ever fired a gun before.
She’s leaning too far backwards.
It looks like a soviet-style AK-47 — though I can’t tell if its the fully-automatic AK-47, or the semi-auto civilian SAM-7.
AKs are a popular gun among insurgents and terrorists because the Soviets made A LOT of them and flooded the market (so they’re cheap), and they can take a beating and still work (sand, water, etc. aren’t a problem for an AK). Low cost, low maintenance, and highly effective.
SnakeDoc
Not as far back as she's gonna be...
People like this should practice with wooden weapons before being handed a real one.
Nobody’s wearing any eye or ear protection, and she looks like she’s on a pavillion, not a firing range. My guess is that she never fired the gun, she was just holding it for pictures.
Probably wasn’t even loaded.
SnakeDoc
Well yea, but none of that matters as I’m sure she’s not actually firing it.. just posing for a picture!

Firing a Soviet-communist AK-47, with a bearded guy wearing Marine BDU's?
Whenever I hear about guns and candidates I think of the Boston Legal clip of Denny Crane being considered for a political office and asked about the NRA:

safety is on, she wont go anywhere.
How many people voted for the Dim-bulbs? How many voted Pubbie? That’s how stupid Americans are, but the good news is that more and more people are becoming independents.
If there was a guy who was like Denny Crane running for Congress or Pres I would certainly vote for him!
yeah. that’s gonna leave a bruise too.

Some people just look natural with firearms, and others look like posers. In contrast to Giffords, Palin is one of us (although the first pic is clearly not a weapon she normally uses).
It happens.... he's wearing Enlisted chevrons too (looks like Sgt). He could be a role player, (for other training; ie dressing as an insurgent during training ops), on relaxed grooming standards... or maybe he has some other reason for being on relaxed grooming.
If they are doing training for Iraq/Afghanistan than they are probably doing foreign weapons familiarization you should know not just your weapons, but the enemies too. Looks like there may be other weapons on the table.
Besides, you forget the adage "an M-16 at work and an AK-47 at home." I may know of a few Marines that have Ak-47s... until they fell to the bottom of the lake in a tragic canoe accident that is ;)
Sarah just hasn’t gotten down to her cheek-weld yet in pic 1.
Let us not insult cur’s, they have an excuse, their dogs and have 4 legs..Blue dog Democrats just means that they fake conservatism to get elected and then speed to the left.Never could figure out what a Yellow Dog democrat was, both types of dogs have a lot of bitches...imho
LOL :O)
Tough to fire it with the safety on...
Yep.
They like to give Americans over there a little familiarity with those in case...ummm...something should happen and there are a bunch of 'em scattered around. ;-)
What about the guy in the Red Beret and Black vest/cut-off shirt. There also appears to be a Guard Tower in the background that is whited out. Looks to me like a “Training Camp” of some kind.
Nobody is wearing eyes or ears, so it’s a safe bet that there isn’t a live round within 100 yards of that rifle.
