You’ve probably heard of Geert Wilders, the “far right” Dutch politician currently on trial in Amsterdam for offending Islam. But have you heard of Guy Earle? He’s a Canadian stand-up comedian currently on trial in Vancouver for offending lesbians. Two lesbians in particular. They came to a late-night comedy show he was hosting and got a table near the stage. They were drunk, and began disrupting the act, and so he did the old Don Rickles thing and put down the hecklers. So, naturally, the aggrieved party went to the British Columbia “Human Rights” Tribunal, and Mr Earle has now been hauled into the dock for the “homophobic” nature of his putdowns.

They were interfering with his right to make an income working as a comedian.
THEY should appear before the Tribunal.

Geert Wilders is somewhat of a outsider in European politics, he is a Conservative....so don’t believe all the vilification you read about him. Same old propaganda we get when the left feels threatened by the truth.
The CRHT is not a court of law.
The plaintiff’s get funding, not the defendant. You are considered guilty at the outset.
Its more of a show trial star chamber than anything else.

The very definition of an Orwellian oxymoron.
A phrase that is the OPPOSITE OF HUMAN RIGHTS.
They’re naught dead, they’re euownly sleepin’. And pinin’ for the fjords.
"Preferred identity groups" = "oppressed classes," who are, after, only paying back the oppressor in his own coin. There are, believe me, persons over the age of 12 who actually believe that and an inordinate number of them have made their way into government because that's where the levers are. These are not benign people - they enjoy using their power and have adopted a theology that justifies it.
But in fact most of the victims are fellows like Guy Earle – they hold all the correct views on the Iraq war, gay marriage and everything else, but they get destroyed anyway.
It isn't what you do, when you're dealing with aggrieved classes it's what you are, and acting politically correctly won't change that. The only sympathy I can really work up for this guy is on the "first they came for the communists" level.
What about Osama yelling at all the lesbos the other day at his rally. Shouldn’t he be prosecuted for that?
