hyped and a profound threat to our nations security are not surprising.
The truth, of course, is that the current robust opposition to the liberal agenda, of which the Tea Party movement is a large part, is neither. And there is no evidence that enthusiastic criticism of Obama administration policies will lead to violence. In fact, the Tea Party movement is a resultnot a causeof the frustration and anger many Americans feel today. The only threat it poses is to the status quo of big government activism.
Its been comical to watch the Left try to discredit the Tea Party movement. Is the movement over-hyped, as Eugene Robinson argues, or, as Joe Klein alleges, a seditious cabal capable of inciting revolution from within? Are Tea Partiers a bunch of poor ignorant hicks or, as E.J. Dionne argued based on a recent survey revealing that theyre better educated and wealthier than most Americans, a movement of the privileged?
What the Left can agree on is that the movement is a violent threat. On the 15th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing this week, Bill Clinton wrote that the many threats against the president, members of Congress and other public servants remind him of the atmosphere that preceded the bombing.
By threats Clinton was referring to comments like those by Sarah Palin, who incurred the wrath of liberals for exhorting conservatives after Obamacare passed not to retreat but to RELOAD! Liberal commentators and lawmakers interpreted the remark as a call to violence.
Of course, in order to re-load, first you must fire. But the spirited opposition to the liberal agenda has been notable for its lack of violence.

The only living person I know of who has bombed the pentagon—is a friend of the President.
The only person I know tthat is an admitted member of the KKK -— is a democrat sitting in the senate.
Meanwhile Bertha Lewis of ACORN is out telling supporters that we’re gonna load them all up on trains and ship them out to concentration camps if we regain power.
If we can hold an armed rally in Washington with no incidents at all, I think that speaks well of the Tea Party movement.
They Feds should be weeding out the Muslims not going after Ma and Pa Tea partys. Muslims are threatining South Park with death. Give me a break.
A large portion of the Dem bloc believes that Bush sabotaged the levies of NOLA and spread AIDs thruout the population, give us a break Gary stop biting the pillow for the liberal establishment.
Leftists are far more prone to violence than Tea Partiers. There has never been a leftist gathering, to my knowledge, that did not have some incidence of violence and/or mayhem.
Further, compare the “Multi-thousand, er, Million Man March” and its aftermath to the 9/12 march on DC. The former trashed the place, whereas it almost looked afterward as if the latter had never been there.
