The fight over Senate Bill 1070 took to the streets of downtown Phoenix, as riot Police were called to the Capitol to control an unruly group of protesters.
Witnesses say a group protesting against SB1070 began to fight with a man who was for the controversial immigration bill.
Police tried escorting that man away from the scene, fearing for his safety, when they too came under attack by people throwing items, including water bottles.
A young man was arrested during that melee.
Things calmed down moments later, but riot Police remained at the capital to maintain some sort of order.

Why don`t they simply start holding DUI check points but now include immigration statise as on of the checks. Don`t the Feds help out with funding for those check points?
The GD, tyrannical, holier than thou federal govt has been jerking the states around for years on illegals but it’s the states - particularly CA, AZ, NM and Texas that have to pay for the education, housing, and medical for these invaders.

These are the same people that march through our streets with Mexican flags, think Aztlan is a great idea and espouse for the race everything.

It doesn’t even look like America, to me. It looks like some foreign nation.
Deportation is a form of "catch and release" - they will be back within days. What needs to be done is a quick trial and an easy sentencing to, say, one year of chain gang type labor on road construction projects for the USA. We can't have too many good roads or too many new bridges, can we?
Fox News needs to show the immigration protest and the Tea Party protest side by side.

This may be the only thing John McCain was ever honest about....riots from ‘immigrants’ is a reason he gave for pushing amnesty. So he knows the character of many of these illegal aliens, and just doesn’t care as long as they are ‘appeased’. Well, they will NEVER be appeased.

Disgusting, but not surprising. Agitators bussed in and riled up by the local socialist, LA RAZA types. These people didn’t back off. I felt sorry for the cops.
Wonder where mayor Phil is after he riled up the group? How come non of these “leaders” of the protest aren’t stopping their own?
I am so sick and tired, I’m infuriated at Mexicans and their G_damed attitude that they think this is their country and how dare we enforce our own laws. I hate Mexico and I hate mexicans. They do absolutlely NOTHING to engender any respect and everything to earn derision. Their sellish, obnoxious, arrogant racism just infuriates me to no end.
They showed how peaceful they are today. Bandana came off of the “face of their movement”.
And the left are saying that Latinos are against keeping illegals out...
That is wrong. Many Latinos do not like the illegals being here, as it takes away job opportunities from them while causing the public to stigmatize them, as well as the other issues we all face from illegal immigration.
Furthermore, many illegals are here only for handouts.

My problem with illegal aliens is this. Their ‘I’m entitled or else’ attitude reminds me TOO much of some of my own relatives. They’ll use you, spend your money, steal from you, move into your house, eat your food and BITCH if you dare ask anything of them.
I managed to finally get rid of that bunch, but it wasn’t pleasant and it won’t be pleasant for Arizona either, but it MUST be done or the entire house will fall, just as mine would have if I’d continued to give compassion to those who didn’t deserve it in the first place.
Illegal immigration is simply more ‘share the wealth’ socialism.
Their arrogance and their pugnacious stupidity just GALLS me to no end! They run away from Mexico because they’re too stupid and lazy to fix it, they either don’t understand or don’t care that they are only one of two countries in all the world to share a border with the United States and they act as if WE”RE the interlopers here! The break the law and then demand the protection of it and have the f’ing NERVE to get angry because we Americans want our laws enforced and obeyed!
