We received the following IMPORTANT MESSAGE from the Chris Gibson campaign (NY-20) at KeyHouseRaces.com today. I've also posted below the NY-20 Chris Gibson SPOTLIGHT ON article that is now up on our website.

Our campaign is "on-the-radar" after our visit to Washington
Chris Gibson just returned from Washington where he met with many in the house leadership. He made a powerful impression!
The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) has placed our campaign "on-the-radar" of their Young Guns program. This program is dedicated to electing open seat and challenger candidates nationwide. They are now watching us!
We need your help to advance to the next level, "the contenders." In order to do this, we need to raise $400,000-dollars before the summer. Advancing to the next level will help us attract more support and fight back against this administration's gross expansion of it's power and authority.
Our campaign is gaining momentum every day and it's because of your hard work and the efforts of all our volunteers and donors.
Your support is critical for this step in the campaign. Help us fight the increased spending, taxes and debt that are being placed upon the American people. Donations of any size helps and moves us toward our goal. Help lift our campaign to the next level.
Please encourage your friends, family and anyone else who cares about America to donate today.
When the 400,000-dollar goal is earned, national fundraising is directed toward our campaign and the momentum becomes unstoppable. Please donate now and help make our victory possible. Remember, no amount is too small.
Whether it's $5 ... $10 ... $25 ... $50 ... $100 ... or more if you can afford it. Every dollar you can give will bring us one step closer to victory.

Republican Candidate, Chris Gibson
The 20th Congressional District of New York, largely rural, is located in eastern New York and includes all or parts of Columbia, Dutchess, Delaware, Essex, Greene, Otsego, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Warren and Washington counties. Traditionally, this has been a conservative district until the election of Kirsten Gillibrand (D) in 2006. Upon Gillibrands appointment to the Senate, Scott Murphy (D) won this seat in a special election and is running to retain his seat.
"I'm very concerned...We continue to pile up a mountain of debt, and we threaten to be the first generation that leaves our country worse off than we found it."
If you would like on or off our KeyHouseRaces ping list please Freepmail Interceptpoint with a request.
Thanks for the ping!
Good lord he is not supposed to be in uniform while campaigning. That is a huge rule in the military.
Compare the two.
Carpetbagger Murphy cashed out of a bankrupt IT firm. Now an Obama-bot.
Gibson, Ny born, bred, schooled, worked taught and served. A leader of men in the breach of war.
Gee, not a difficult decision for me.
Colonel Gibson is only THE choice.
Thank you for posting this. We are pretty energized up here in NY20.
This will be a unified campaign, as Chris has brought all 3 of the (pre-nom) Repub contenders officially into his campaign, in various capacities, ie policy advisors.
This was a Repub district for years prior to re-drawing.
Couple references, about NY20 district being in play, for those not familiar with the district.
This survey was before the HCare vote, we believe the sentiment will hold. In one of Murphys townhalls after the vote, an attendee said he was ashamed to be a democrat

And, if the 2010 election for US CONGRESS were being held today, for whom would you vote
the Republican candidate .... OR .... the Democratic candidate for Congress from this district?
43% TOTAL REPUBLICAN
34% TOTAL DEMOCRATIC
Overall, given what you know about them, would you say you support or oppose the proposed changes to the health care system being developed by Congress and the Obama aministration?
40% TOTAL SUPPORT
55% TOTAL OPPOSE
Lets take back the House.. with support of these contender candidates. Watch the video...and send Chris some $ if you can.
Money came rolling in to Dem Murphy’s campaign after he switched his vote...wonder from where? LOL

Who said he was campaigning in uniform? The poster likely just included that picture with the post.
You are quite correct about that. We changed the photo on our website to the one below. And note that the official Chris Gibson campaign website is in accordance with the rules.
You can see the revised version of our SPOTLIGHT ON article on Chris Gibson HERE.

ooops, sorry for the overlong post above, guess my enthusiasm runneth over.
Short version
Help conservative Chris Gibson meet this fund-raising goal,
in his campaign to oust Dem Scott Murphy in NY20

fieldmarshal,
they’re do a bang up job on this web site. A great resource.
Hi, I just wanted to clarify an error made by Jillian Bandes on her townhall.com article that you referred to.
Sandy Treadwell is an honorable gentleman who, contrary to the articles claims, did NOT have any scandals in his 2008 campaign. Unfortunately for Mr. Treadwell, the Obamamania hysteria was overwhelming at the time and this lead to Sandy’s defeat.
Ms. Bandes is probably referring to the most recent GOP congressman from this district, who in the waning moments of the 2006 campaign was involved in a(n alleged?) situation of domestic violence which resulted in a 911 call. Not sure how the domestic situation unfolded, but it allowed the Dem challenger Gillibrand to take the seat, explaining why a Democrat holds this rural/conservative district.
It also explains why people who know this district are confident that Chris Gibson can win it back for the people (but he will need their substantial monetary support).
________
If anyone knows Jillian Bandes or has a connection with townhall.com this error should be brought to their attention. It is a false and derogatory statement against an innocent person.
