Ed Rendell, the Democratic governor of Pennsylvania and former chairman of the Democratic National Committee, told Fox News on Saturday that the Tea Party movement reflects the anger many Americans feel about the current state of the economy, but dismissed the notion of the Tea Party as a legitimate political movement.

YES! He is not going to convince anyone of his declarations. This is a grass roots movement and the power of it will be felt in every corner of this nation. Ed Rendell is just another knee jerk socialist who reminds me of someone from the Supranos. Anytime he is on FOX with his opinion, I find something else to do.

When was the last time average, middle class people stood up in large numbers to resist the federal government? Not in my lifetime.

Their rally against ObamaCare in September, 2009, only attracted a few dozen people, far less than Rendell could get for puppies or any other cutesy cause.
In contrast, the Coffee Party movement has real clout.
In seven months, this movement with no clout will have a message for Rendell: "Real Americans can see the Potomac from the House."

One of Eliot Spitzer’s call girls seems close to spilling the beans on another sitting governor that she serviced:
Now the elegant blond courtesan, whom we’ll continue to call “Annie,” is talking about three “dates” she allegedly had with another state’s chief executive, who we’ll call Gov. X.
Though Annie’s former boss, ex-madam Kristin Davis, corroborates that Gov. X was a client, his spokesman flatly denies that the married politician has ever hired hookers…
“He was a very standard client. He didn’t take the full hour. There was no exchange of money. Michael handled the payment.
“I had two more dates with the governor. Never in public. Always for just an hour, around dinner time. He’d arrive at the apartment in a suit. I never had a problem with him, like I did with Spitzer. He was always nice. There wasn’t a lot of conversation. It wasn’t a girlfriend experience, but he was relaxed. He was very appreciative, like I was giving him a sort of affection he wasn’t getting elsewhere. Later I found out he was married. His wife is quite prominent in her own right.” (Annie and Davis say Gov. X is free to say he didn’t pay for sex, since “Michael” took care of the bills.)
I went through all U.S. governors and left out females, those who aren’t married (Corzine in NJ), those who were not governor in 2006, those who were not married in 2006 (Crist in FL), and Sanford in SC for obvious reasons.
The criteria set by the NYC call girl was that the male was governor in 2006, married, and his wife was “quite prominent in her own right.” She also strongly implies that he is still a sitting governor.
So I read the NGA bios of all 25 first ladies whose governor-husbands meet that criteria. Only six or so first ladies can be considered “quite prominent”:
CA – Gov Arnold Schwarzenegger’s wife, Maria Shriver
MN – Gov Tim Pawlenty’s wife, Mary (district court judge from 1994-2007)
PA – Gov Ed Rendell’s wife, Marjorie (3rd Circuit US Court of Appeals judge)
VA – Gov Tim Kaine’s wife, Anne Holton (district court judge in Richmond)
Less prominent, but still more so than others:
NH – Gov John Lynch’s wife, Susan
TN – Gov Phil Bredesen’s wife, Andrea Conte
WV – Gov Joe Manchin’s wife, Gayle
The call girl would have known instantly that Arnold is married to Shriver. He’s by far the most recognizeable of the seven listed above and his marriage to her is very well known, so she wouldn’t have found out later that he was married, as she said she did.
The last three governors listed have less prominent wives than the first tier, who are all federal judges.
Obviously, out of those three, VA and PA are the closest to NYC (although we know the initial meeting happened outside of New York).
Lot’s of circumstantial evidence here, true, but still interesting nonetheless. I wasn’t going to post any of this just yet, until Rush said this today:
There’s also some news that another governor has been tagged as a client of the same hooker that Eliot Spitzer used. Well, I know who it is. I know who it’s being reported, but I don’t have a source that’s firm enough. Yes, it’s a blue state, a lot of eagles in this state. Not an inordinate amount of eagles. What, Snerdley? Well, what do you think? I’m not going to mention any names. It’s a blue state, lots of eagles. These birds don’t fly, but there’s still lots of eagles.

Well, during the interview [with Opie and Anthony], she admitted that someone she called “Governor X” employed her services at least ten times during a year-and-a-half period. She apparently wrote his name down on a piece of paper and showed it to Opie and Anthony, who then proceeded to spend the next ten minutes dropping hints that a 4-year-old could’ve deciphered.
Between my research, Rush, and the hints on this radio interview, I’d say the good money is on Ed Rendell, the Democratic Governor of Pennsylvania.

Could brewing sex scandal mean Ed Rendell will have to hightail it out of Harrisburg?

Gawker says “The thought of Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell having sex is utterly horrifying, so he’s one we’d rather not even think about.” Still, Fast Eddie makes the short list at 15-1 as the mystery governor with a “prominent wife” who also paid for sexual services through the same madam whose escorts knocked Eliot Spitzer’s socks off.
Marjorie Rendell, is a federal judge who sits on the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and the guv is only an hour or so from New York, but serial skirt chaser Arnie still is Gawker’s morning-line favorite.
Now comes this tantalizing exchange from the Opie & Anhony satellite radio show, as reported by Deux ex Malcontent.
The hosts were interviewing Kristen Davis, who spent four months in prison over the Spitzer hooker scandal. She wrote down the name of Governor X on a piece of paper, showed it to the boys, and then listeners were left to decipher the sneaky pol’s identity:
“What, did he pay her in coal and steel?”
“I guess he had a little filly on the side.”
“Did he used to be an Eagles scout?”
The whole thing ended with show regular Jim Norton making a hysterical Freudian slip during the plugs for his upcoming gigs.
“I’ll be in Pennsylvania this weekend,” he said, then corrected himself to the sound of everyone’s laughter.
Don’t sound like no Arnie to me.
The MSM has done everything possible to discredit the Tea Party and the tea partiers still keep coming.
Just wish this guy was still the Dem leader as he is completely off his rocker.
